back of the bank holidays

well iam happy to see the end of the 2 back to back bank hollidays we have had, yes it was nice to have a bit of a break but with being skint and no one to share it with felt a bit of a waste realy, this last one the royal wedding i got payed so it wasnt to bad but still was bored and fed up but i got all my jobs done

my car got though its mot but i had lots of advisorys for next years mot so i changed my head lights, back seat, door locks and seat belt clip, i also sorted a bit of rust out while it wasnt to bad now thursday just got to take it for its service so should last me a bit longer i was quite pleased with my head lights as i got them for 50 quid i was looking on the net and was getting worryed as they were anything from 50 upto 80 quid a side so was starting to panic but luck had it a local scrap yard had a pair of head lights just in stock for 25 quid a side so was well happy and they looked brand new and they do look quite good,

sunday saw me go to dovedale for the day wasnt to bad but not the same by yourself i did a 7 mile walk and climb 2 hills i know my fitness has inproved as last time after walking up one hill and walked a mile i was knackered so to do 7 miles and 2 hills i was quite happy but tired i had my packed lunch on top of a hill about a 600ft up the view was amazing and not many people passed me as sat there for 40 mins seeing other people climb up the hill and got so far up then went back down, i must say the wind was a bit bad once you got half way up but i just continued as i wanted to get to the top but i managed 3 quarters of the hill before i chickend out cos of the wind but next time ill go right to the top,

anyway its just good to get back to some norm as been a bit off my routine of late but now iam backish on it have a goodun and stay save even tho bin laden is dead so they say theres still some nutters around

almost finding the time

well the last few weeks have been quite manic at work and in my social life, work has had its up's and down's and there is goign to be a change or 2 at work come after easter i think but more will follow on in the next week or so also ive become a single man again after a year and a half we didnt break up on bad terms and are still firends but i think in our current situations we both needed this maybe one day we might get back to gether who knows but at the moment i know being single is just what i need,

also in the last few weeks since i last posted i have done my 1st charity 5k run for those who dont do k's it is 3.2 miles and i ran it in 33 minuets now my goal is to do the 5k in under 30 and build upto longer distances, this has been quite a break though realy as i never thought i be doing these 5k runs but iam happy with my progress so far and just need to see where all this takes me, on the cycling front iam still been doing a lot of that think ive been overdoing it a bit as last week ive had a realy bad back i know i must of gotten the fittness bug as ive been layed up for 4 days and on the 3rd i was wanting to go on my bike and the gym but i wasnt goint to risk pulling my back even more, iam almost over my bad back now still get a twinge here and there but i can do gentle exercize and cycle and i hope in the next few days i will completely get better,

also these last few weeks ive been managing my time much better but seem to still be struggling with my blog some of the problem is i have so much to say i dont know where to start, or its the case of knowing what to say but writing my thoughts down as it never reads right when i put them down on here but iam thinking sod it and just write away anyway iam goign to make more a effort to post on my blog i know i said that last time but hey i might even do it

mother nature hitting back

i was reading over on http://hadpunk.wordpress.com/ about the end of the world, i have often thought lately about things like this is mother nature telling us to slow down i dont think a war will be the end of the world i think mother nature will wipe us out

just look at whats happening weather wise round the world look at oz land how bad there rains have been look at the big earthquake in new zeland and now japan how much more is mother nature going to put on us, i think all this global warming is happening much quicker then the scientists 1st thoguht just look at the amount of cars on the road i never thought the traffic would be this bad there are many familys in brittan who own more than one car now

just look at the other eve the amount of traffic on the road at 10pm was amazing just a busy as 12pm lunchtime and for sunday once a nice quite day can now be just one of the busyest days on the road, i hope in the next 12 months with the price of petrol road tax and insurance it will price many people off the roadand make for a quiter life, but i suppose people will stop doing stuff like going to the pub or having meals out to save money for there car but i think the next 12 months will be very intresting finance wise for many people

if prices of living ie food petrol bills for the house somethings going to break as if i lived by myself i more than likely hardly go to the pub or i would most probly give my car up, oh well enough of me rambling on have a goodun and stay safe

fitness and motivation

in my last post i mentioned i would add more about my fitness and motivation, the last 2 months has seen my motivation realy rise and ive been the fittest and lightest ive ever been for a long time, and even running 5k 3 times a week which i never thought i'd do my weight stands at 13st 10lbs iv notbeen that since i was in my early 20's and my uncontroling sweating has become a lot better,

i still need to sort my sleeping as that is still hit and miss but i suppose that is part of life but when iam on the morning shift which i have to get up at half 4 in the morning just having 4 hours sleep a night isnt very good at all, one of the things iam a bit dissapointed with is my cycling ive not been doing that much as iam still a bit lazy but with the petrol prices iam making a big effort to get back on me bike as its only 20 mins to work so iam being silly realy ill get there

2 things ive got planned for this year for my fitness is a 5k run end of march and see how i go a half marathon in september and a cycle to skeggness and the half marathonwill be the big ones i think for this year think the cycle to skeggy will be middle of the year that will be a 80 mile ride iam hoping to do that in 10 hours yup you heard me right i think its quite a realistic time and for my 5k run time i would like to run it in 25 minuets which again i think is a realistic time

on the whole 2011 looks a good year to finish my weight loss program and get myself to the full fitness i once was when i was in my early 20's iam going to lose another 3 quarters of a stone and see how i look as i think once ive got down to 13 stone i should look okay only time will tell

anyway time for a cuppa and stay safe you lot

well what a cold start to the week i wasnt expecting it to be -2c this morning when i got up i was feeling a bit wired friday morning waking up to the news about japan, because i was talking to me mate thursday about how we going to have a supermoon these next few days

that is when the moon is closest to the earth the last time the moon was so close was 12 years ago i think but dont quote me and this time its just over 200,00 miles away from the earth, iam was feeling a bit wired fri and sat cos on thursday i was talking to me mate in how i think this super moon will give us some crazy weather either a earth quake or tsunami and what happens japan gose and have both, i was feeling quite starange

i dont think ive suddenly got perdicting powers it was me just being me and speaking my mind about whats going to happen with the weather and expecting the worse to be honest i thoguht we would have some high winds and some snow but nothing like whats happened in japan

anyway this week looks set to be a busy one iam upping my training cos my 5K run is fast aproching 27th of march its going to be tight if iam going to do the run in my expected time of 25 minuets as ive been a bit lazy last 2 weeks but the next 2 iam going to push myself and go for it my training will involve cycling and more running and rowing if i keep to my plan i should be okay just hope my motivation keeps up as iam quite looking forward to my run as ill have proved a bit point to myself and friends thati can do a run

as over the las 14 months ive achieved quite a lot in my personal fittness and life style cut the drinking down doing okayish with the junk food not had a kebab since last august which iam amazed myself realy as people who know me knew how many i used to have i still have a pizza or fish and chips now and again but thats about it these days, i dont seem to have the cravings for junk food like i once did iam goign to write more about this in a later post but in all iam quite happy with my progress maybe i could of done the whole weight loss thing quicker but least this way iam doign things i still can enjoy some of the food i like

also this week iam off to the pics and catch up on a few films theres a few i want to watch and with me being on mornings this week think its the best time to catch up, one i would like ot see is iam number 4 and battle los angeles and a few more as well, with films lately iam watching quite a few some have been good and some bad think iam going to make a film review posting once a week as iam watching so many films at the mo think it be a good idea

owning a car

cars are getting a expensive thing to own these days with petrol prices getting to 1.40 a litre car insurance and road tax keep going up the other eveing i filled my car half up and it cost me 35 quid to i worked it out that to fill my car up to the rimm could cost me just over 70 quid what a shocker,

i also got my car tax reminder yesterday and thats 205 quid the last 2 years its gone up 30 quid, also this year my car insurance went up 100 quid to 440 a year so to run my car this year along with a mot and service in april its goign to cost me just short of 900 quid a lot of money realy to say iam 35 my insurance should be much cheaper

when i first oned my 1st car when i was 25 a litre of petrol was 73 pence i went mad when it went upto 75 pence a litre lol but i never thought owning a car has gotten this much out of controll, reading the papers recently petrol could go upto 2 quid a litre if and when it happens i realy will have to rethink owning a car,

it would be a sad day if i was to give my car up but on the other hand i cant justifiy paying that much for petrol well have to see what happens over the next few months its going to be intresting to see how we all cope with this constant increse in petrol

Quick start to 2011

well been a while again since my last post had lots to say but dont know where to start with it all and time to a certain degree, as ive been quite busy with work and at times my scoial life has been busy, whats happened since my last posting, well money wise iam good iam busy paying my dad back what i owe him already payed 1600 quid off so by the end of the year i should be debt free,

iam now making my monthly wage last me till the end of the month now and even saving each month which ive not done for 5 years or so and its a good feeling to be able to save even if its just a little, and when it comes to not being able to affrod to do things with freiends iam no longer amashmed in telling them i can not aford it i just dont go out, which makes me again feel loads better,

my drinking is okay ive decied not to stop but have one good night out a week then one night in the week ill drop in to the pub for 2 pints and iam quite happy that ive worked out why i was drinking for and now ive opened up to friends and family about my problems i dont need to hide behind drink and the last coupel of months have been thebest of my life for a long time

me and joann are still together and with it being valentines day soon ive got her a nice supirse nothing to major but its enough to say how i feel about her cant belive its almost a year and a half we been together now and still going strong

i also cant belive how quick 2011 is going i was only celebrating new year in with frinds at the local 5 mins ago now its febuary already and before you know it another year gone i have lots of things planned for 2011 as last year was a bit of a washout with lack of days out but will post about them later on

last few weeks have seen me not doing much at all not even done much blogging either just not seemed to of got round to it, but in the 1st time in ages iam stright with my money this month when i get payed will be the 1st time ive not owed anyone apart form my dad and once ive payed him his monthly bit all my wage will be mine for once,

its such a good feeling that iam not going to have to pay anyone anything no more bank charges nothing looking forward to doing a bit of crimbo shopping and not have to worry about if iam going to have enough to last me till the end of the month things will still be a bit tight but far better off than i once was, these last couple of months have been a bit rubbish but least iam not worrying about debts as such now and with my december wage ill be even better off and have a proper crimbo for a change, to think

one of the other things ive been dealign with is my drinking iam doing okayish with that last couple of months ive only been going out once twice a week and not realy got drunk and iam finding when i do go out for a pint i enjoy it more as iam not goign out regurly on a certain night, but last night i did go out for a pint and felt rough as fuck this morning only had 4 pints iam happy with my drinking at the moment still thinking of totaly packing up bit iam going to see what happens but for now things are looking quite good

one of the things over the last few weeks is cut my drinking down i dont feel i have a major problem as such but i feel i need to do something about it, i dont wake up every morning feeling to get pissed or do i go home thinking i oh boy i need a beer it more than when i do go out for a drink these days i can get through a few,

and when i do go through a few beers i feel like iam another person and not in control of myself, iam not bothered to a certain degree what i do or say to anyone but in the same time iam not totaly lost all my common sence as i know what iam doing and i know that i can get home without crawling on my knees or puking up every moment

iam not realy sure what iam gong to do either totaly stop or cut down even more these last few weeks ive not realy touched beer think the last 3 weeks ive been out to the pub 3 times and thats not like me i can easily go out twice a week no problem, but i have enjoyed stopping in and not getting drunk and doing daft things,

ive caught up on loads of telly and started to watch new programs some times over the last few weeks come 9pm ive been fighting to weather to go out or not fought the feeling than half an hour later the urge to go out has gone and just carryed on watchign was i was on telly, and just enjoyed the one can of beer

goose fair and peechykeen formaly big wok

with it being goose fair i did go this year as one ive not been for at least 5 years and with me havign a ladyfriend to take we both decied to go and i went on a couple of rides, yes me going on a couple of rides 2 i enjoyed but after the 2nd i was feeling delicate my ladyfirend asked me to go on the waltzers with her but i wasnt to sure but me being me i went on with her but i didnt enjoy it one bit and i was even more delicate afterwards,

the fair is not the same as it once was you need a mortage to go there realy witih rides costing 2quid upto 10 quid a pop each even hook a duck was 3 quid all the stalls were mainly food stalls its a wonder they could all compete with the amount there was but them must make a quid or 2 as they wouldnt of been there, its much smaller than in previous years and a burger at 3 quid a pop i didnt bother having one but saying that it might of been better than the food at the resturant we went to before the fair

we went to this resturante called peachykeen once called big wok when it was big wok it just sold chineese food and it was great help yourself buffet the amount of times i went in i never had a bad meal but in august this year it closed down saying it was being refubished, its now reopened as one of these resturants which dose a bit of all sorts of food, me myself when they do this kind of thing they never realy work

there is a place in town called red hot which dose the same thing but something isnt right about it, for example you have roast beef and yorkshire puds but nothing to go with it, its all a bit missmatched same with this peechykeen place they have a little bit of chinesse italian and other food but they mainly offer curry,

all well and good but the singage wasnt that good i didnt realy know if the currys on offer were hot mild or very hot there were lots of sauces in jars but i didnt know what they were cos again no signage, the puddings were stored next to the front window on a table we asked one of the waiters what this liquid was and he said its supposed to be jelly i looked at my ladyfriend and both looked with a okay look, i just wasnt inpressed but ill give it anothe go when they have been opened a bit and if still not any good ill not go no more

shame they changed as there was nothing wrong with big wok as the food was good hot and loads of choice of chineese food puddings were in a cooler and cold and i think peechykeen will waste a lot of the puddings as they are not cold, time will just tell if peechykeen will be a sucsess or not

well ive not been doing very well with this blogging larky ive had all good intensions of writing least a couple of times a week, but just not done so, readers have seen ive made this blog private ill invite you if you want no problem as with this blog iam goign to be writeing more about my private life and work and i dont realy want every tom dick and harry to read but i feel i want to write about it

since my mad weekend lots have happened and changed ive moved back to my parents which i didnt want to do but it was the best thing to do for the time being, and iam settling down there okay, work is going okay but at times i think is it all worth it, it might be easyer to get the sack claim every benifit i can and get some girl pregnet and claim even more benifits but then with me working iam a little more better off or will be by crimbo when my finances a bit better off,

one of the things iam having to deal with is my drinking i think i might have a bit of a problem but not totaly sure, iam not waking up wanting a drink every moring to get me going or anything and i can last a while without having a beer but when i do i go a bit mad and feel like iam going out of controll,

as iam normaly a shy quiet person normaly but when i go for a beer and i seem like when ive had a couple i start losing controll i get brave and dont care what i say or do, and when iam like that it could be more dangerous so for the time being iam not going to drink beer while out but have a can or 2 in the house like i did last night i enjoyed having a beer last night but i didnt get wasted,

only time will tell with the drinking, but one thing my motivation is back up and feel like i want to do things once again iam enjoying my cycling, and i want to start running once again, dealign with depression ive not realy done much about it to be honest i feel i can handle it at the moment without needing to go and talk to anyone but again ill see how that goes but one thing is ill not use drink to deal with it no more

as the other evening i felt a bit down and could of quite easyily gone to get drunk but after half an hour of fighting the feeling of needing to go out for a drink i just ended up on the xbox and didnt have a beer at all so time will see,

hello everyone yup i know its been a while may since ive last posted or seen anyones blogs but it has been quite a 2010 so far i can tell you loads have happened and dont know where to start to be honest, but ill have a go and see where this post will take me

this year has been quite a minefield ive gone thorugh depression stress and many sleepless nights and i had a bit of a mad weekend which i nearly ended everything, but lucky for me i saw sence and came back home to face the music and sort my problems out

think the depression has been with me a long time but without realizing i was depressed in one way the sleepless nights have been with me for 3 years but been a major part of my life for the last 12 months and everything came to a head a couple of weeks ago when i nearly ended everything by wanting to drive off the white cliffs of dover but thankfully i saw sence and still here a lot happyer but still got some way to go before iam 100% happy with things

the last 6 months i was noticing i was in trouble when i just had no energy or nothing work was becoming hard to deal with and i was managing on 3 maybe 4 hours broken sleep anight then the last 2 months hardly sleeping at all, it was quite horrible realy but now i can see light at the end of the tunnel and things are a lot better than they were 3 weeks ago

theres been a few changes in my life but all for the good house moving a little change of life style but on the whole iam a lot better and iam even sleeping properly which ive not done for a long time i feel almost human again black bags under my eyes are almost gone energy levels are up and i can deal with my job which iam enjoying once again

i will explane more on my feelings in upcomming posts but for now i think this will do for what 2010 has been like and i will come to visit blogs very soon

over the last few weeks iam seem to be having more time to myself i dont know why all of sudden iam feeling quite normal life is still busy but iam making time for myself and do things i want, iam cracking on with sorting my music out and making a couple of playlists up ive caught up on loads of films and telly shows one show ive been watching again is xfiles

iam realy enjoying watching the xfiles i got upto season 3 when bbc2 1st showed them years ago when i was around 16 and gillian anderson who played scully was sexy as hell and now she is quite a few years older she is still sexy one of the other shows at that time i used to watch was sliders it was about a guy who could travel to alternate universes it was qutie a good show i managed season 3 and again i lost track but during the week i ordered them on dvd boxset for around 70 quid not bad i think for the whole series as when they 1st came out on video and dvd they were around 40 quid a season

ive not had much time for blogging still but thats one thing iam going to start regular even tho ive not blogged myself i do read my friends blogs and found for some reason the comments ive made are not showing for some reason maybe its me not doing something right but i will pop round to fellow friends blogs and say hi, and dinners iam down your way soon again so will pop for a beer,

fitness motivation and sleeping

what a lovely moning it is today and once again ill be on my bike later iam going for a longer cycle to work today as part of my peperations for my cycling holiday iam thinking of doing next year, later this year i would like to attempt to cycle to skeggy which i think i could do no problem in another 2 months time,

iam thinking at this moment of my fitness it would take me around 11 hours as its 80 odd miles away that would make me a average of 10 miles an hour which i could easyily do, last week i cycled 70 miles and that was just to and from work and into town once and twice as iam using my bike a lot more for short journys and when i get more fitter ill cycle farther a field one of the reasons iam doing this cycling is as work is going to start to charge me 350 pounds a year to park my car at work and no way iam not paying that much to park at work when iam not even guarateed a parking space,

ive been on and off cycling to work for the last year now and i can cycle 10 mins quicker than drive to work main reason of me cycling quicker than driving is of the build up of traffic through town they sometimes average 10 miles an hour and i can be anything upto 20 mph so do the sums lol but iam getting fitter and even the cycle home isnt such a chore now as iam getting up carlton hill more hopefully in a nother couple of weeks ill be albe to cycle up all of carlton road as its a big long hill

also this last month my sleeping has seemed to of sorted its self out ive been sleeping quite good not waking up 3 or more times a night and averaging more than 5 hours this weekend i had 20 odd hours stright sleep 10 on sat and 10 on sunday and i think thats helping me as well, so all good at the moment but just wish may will be nicer money wise as like i mentioned in a other post april has been a right bitch,

my drinking has almost become non existent this month i can count the amount of beer ive had on my fingers as ive hardly had anything i have been going to the local to see friends but ive only had a couple of soft drinks then at the end of the eve ive just had 1 beer and ive been feeling loads better my friends find it strange not to see me drink but iam happy not to drink loads of beer and feel rough next morning,

i did think about totaly stopping drinking earlyer in the year but i do like a beer every so often and i thought if i limit my drinking down i can still enjoy a beer without drinking a load which ive been doing the last coupe of months like last night i got home from work and went on call of duty and just had 1 can and realy enjoyed it

anyway enough of me going on its a nice morning and iam off for a cycle before work have a goodun and stay safe

music

as long as i can remember ive always been into my music my fav music is rock but will listen to anything and even a little bit of country and western for a long time i used to use tape and record then after one to many of my fav tapes got chewed up i went on to cd

i was starting to get a few cd's built up and was runing out of room, at this point i was using my pc to listen to my music i download my music and put it on my large hard drive and upload the playist on my winamp player and thats how i play my music for the last couple of years but iam getting so much music and running out of space on my hard drive and the time it takes to sort on the pc iam thinking of putting my music back on to cd once again

but on my pc i have almost whole collections of albums so in some case's like areosmith i have more than 10 albums iam not sure how far to go with putting my music back on to cd, do i make one or 2 cd's of each group or make my own cd's and have what music i want on the cd so i can have 18 songs on one cd of different artists iam not sure yet i might even continue to keep and play my music from the pc and just get another hard drive as they are quite cheap now

as daft as it sounds if i buy 5 cd's that will pay for a 500gig hard drive so iam going to have a think of what to do as ive got every now thats whati call music album on my pc and thats 70 odd albums just think of that lot alone on cd but i do have the room to keep cd's so not a problem. but with the amount of music i have on my pc ill soon have a couple of hundred albums along side my 200 albums i already have displayed on my cd units i have down one side of a wall

time

well what a month this has been so far very hard on me money wise as its just been all pay out so not had much fun this month but i'd rather go through the month like this then go into debt unlike i have done in the past but hey its payday in a couple of days time and hopefully nothing else will go wrong which ill have to pay out for

ive spent 4o0 quid on my car this month ive had to tax and mot my car which came to 300 then a new key for my car so quite a drain on my wage, i suppose i could of waited a bit longer for my car key but ive been putting up with it for a year now and its starting to be a pain as when i need to open my boot its a pain in the arse routine its not a simple operation of just putting your key in thr drivers side door and all the other doors and boot open as well so i got a new key it will now be just a case of press a button on my key and everything opens nice and easy

also this month ive had mega computer problems think ive found whats causing my computer to play up but i think i do need a new pc, as mine is 5 years old now and its had a hard life the poor thing iam thinking of a mac but they are quite expensive so iam still deciding what to do about that and also thats why ive not been in blog land much but i will make a point of coming and visiting you all soon

think the reason why ive not had much time this month is of my addiction to call of duty 4 modern warfare ive dont the story line game and now iam online with my xbox iam getting into the online mulitplayer games and iam so addicted to it, iam builing my experience points and now iam a sargent yeah which means i can customize my weapons and make them a bit better, the other eve i went on for 10 minuets the next it was midnight i thought opps i best get to bed

also this month ive not been very well and needed a week of sick from work which ive not done for a long time its just a day or 2 but i was realy bad i had a bad chest infection and asthma problems plus i was fighting a flu bug off which didnt help i had it for 2 weeks one min i was starting to feel better so i kept coming to work the next i was rough as hell it got to a point where i just needed time off so for the week while i was off sice i just slepted and boy did i sleep

i think i was just rundown think my eating pattern didnt help either but now iam all back to normal i dont sound like a 80 year old man or feel like one and ive got a good eating pattern sorted out and it seems to be working quite nicely so ive had quite a month but on the whole 2010 is going much better than 2009 did and ive even had a couple of days out so its not all to bad

well iam back to work today after 2 weeks off work and its gone quite quick the 1st week i was off work sick and i was quite bad with asthma and some flu bug i caught but a week in bed sleeping for england and 40 quid at the chemist for various drugs i was back to my oldself last week was busy

i did lots of painting and work in the garden and spent a bit of time on the xbox i was getting quite hooked on call of duty modern warfare the online gaming is great the 1st week while i was off i spent a whole day on it sad i know but way addictive, i got everything done i wanted and iam readyish to go back to work this afternoon

also my car is in for its mot today iam sure nothing big needs doing if anything a break pipe might need changing like last time, ive not bothered with a service this year as i dont think ive done the huge mileage like i normaly do these last 12 months think my biggest miles per month ive done is 400 this month ive only done 300 but next year ill have a service tho as i think iam going to be doing some mileage now the nice weather is getting better

me and my girlfriend went out for the day yesterday and went to skeggy for the day yeah some of you might say its rough and rubbish but i like going there got a nice clean beach and you can walk for miles on it as well, which we did it was just nice to be on the beach and having some sea air

the journey wasnt to bad you had some twunts who insisted driving so slow they held up every body else but apart from that it was a painless journey, we went into one cafe for a cuppa tea which was very expesnive for a cuppa tea and scone with a bit of jam and butter it was going to cost 3.50 each, but joann knew of a place which we went to later in the afternoon if you dont mind a bit of church music there is a place near eptions chippy youcan have a cuppa and a cake for 99p and that was a bluddy good bargin we both had a cuppa and scone with a bit of jam and butter for 99p each they were home made scones as well i even gave a 50p tip in the jar as i was so inpressed

you do have to shop around in skeggy for the bargins tho as the prices can change quite a bit even for fish and chips went to that cafe which was expensive and it was nearly 7 quid but a place near the car park fish chips and peas were 4 quid and it was bluddy nice as well, on the whole had a good day out made a change to get away from nottingham to be honest

bank holiday madness backend of winter

well here is another bank holiday easter infact normaly when i comes to bank holidays i dont bother going anywhere as on the roads its chaos they blocked up as everyone wants to get out and about and there also blocked or closed by numptys crashing into each other or something or the other,

this bank holiday iam staying put doing a couple of jobs around the house get me veg plot ready and have a bit of a rest ill be goign to help me dad replace some of his windows and watch plently of telly with some xbox time as well, the last bank holiday i went away somewhere i got my car wrote off in quite a major accident that will be another story for another time

one thing which ive found intresting are the storys about how crap this weekend is going to be weather wise yeah yeah we have rain high winds and maybe a little bit of snow all i can say is hey people it is the back end of winter and yeah there is still a bit of bad weather still to come even tho we are now in spring but only just in spring so yeah for the next week or so we will see some wintery weather happening just live with if

there will be other bank holidays to go away with and on monday i will be venturing out but ill not have to deal with the other nutters as when iam setting off on monday morning most people will have gotten to there destination or just not bothering iam only going to skeggy with the girlfriend for the day but be nice to get away be a hour and a half drive and we'll be at the seaside weather permitting

anyway iam off to bed as its calling me big tme its all ive seem to of done this week while ive been off work sick but ive got next week off as holiday from work fingers crossed iam all fit and back to full steam as these last two weeks have been horrid but i think iam over the worse of it now, if your out and about this weekend stay safe out there as its going to be chaos

well iam pleased march is almost over with i can tell you its seemed a long hard slog this month i know we have had a busy time at work with lots of events going on but that has been good being busy least work has been chalenging in that way

but ive been down in the dumps with my asthma and fighting some bug for the last couple of weeks which has made me feel like a 80 year old man at times but this last week its took its toll and iam having some bed rest as iam just not getting any better most of the weekend and yesterday was spent at home hardly doing anything apart from sleep and getting up for a drink now and again,

my nose is so red its unreal my mum said i must not be well as i poped round to my parents place for some sunday dinner and after a few mouth fulls i couldnt eat much more shame as it was a realy nice dinner but hey oh iam eating a little more now, ive not had a beer for nearly 2 weeks as just not been in the mood for one see how i go over the weekend if i still not in the mood for a beer it might be the perfect time to give it up hey

one thing ive done it caught up on one of my old fav past times which is watch a film which i used to to more than once a week but just dont seem to have chance these days but sunday iwatched 4 in one day ive got a couple i want to watch today so one thing on this blog ill try and do is a movie review,

well what a year of footballing we have had i for one have enjoyed this years season very much, for 1 it has been the tightest for points and places in the league tables for a long time and teams who i thoght wouldnt do so well are on top form fighting for promotion good on them and about time,

i thoght newcastle united would of been middle of the champions table after dropping from the premier league last year but good on them they are top of the champions league forest well iam not going to much into forest but to say they making hard work of things like normal but they have done well again after last season i was going to be happy with them being in the middle of the table and next season hoping for a over long due return to the premier league but fingers crosed they still might do it this year

notts county who i have been following quite a bit this year have done great to say a month ago they were ready to go bust and are now sitting second in league 2 and very high contenders for going to league 1 which they havnt been in league 1 for a long long time,

the premier league has been good to watch the top 6 teams have all been swapping places like mad but not i think its all but settled apart from chelsea man utd and arsenal who can all still calim stop stop and be this years champions i wouldnt like to put any money on who will be champions but all those 3 could be and i think will be till the very last game

i would like to see arsenal win this years top spot in this years premier league as they do deserve there crown again been a little over due for them to win something, ive also been suprised in how well spurs have done to say last season they were drop out contenders for the championship league and harry redknapp has done a great job in turning those players around iam going to be following spurs next season as will be very intresting to see what they do

but it still amazes me how the press reports about football as halfway through the season they were wiping teams chances of any hope or climbing the table just like arsenal and now look at arsenal they could be champions

yesterday saw me meeting a blog mate who ive known for a while now been reading his blog and ended up having a beer with him last nite, and even tho ive never met him i kinda knew all about him throuhg reading his blog and it was just like meeting one of my mates at the local on a friday night,

we got on okay had a few laughs i apeared on his radio show and i cant remember why dinners but how did a bacon sandwich come into the convo on your show, as ive just seen the shout box from last night and cant remember much about the last hour, but all in all a good evening and will have to do it again

but this morning i was a bit worse for wear i couldnt even eat my bacon sandwich which dinners did for me, i was even a bit sick and it was yellow ive never had yellow sick before iam sure dinners was giving me his poloish vodka or very large mesures of his normal vodka but iam back to normal now i did have a bacon cob on the way home after i was sick once again and a little old lady saw me hanging out of my car in the services car park asking if i was okay and needed anything and she got me a bottle of water, i even had a sleep for a hour as i was so bad but i slepted like a log last ngiht tho as soon as my head hit the pillow i was out like a light

and i think it will be a early night tonight as well as iam buggered anyway iam off to laze on the sofa and it was realy good meeting you dinners and your more than welcome up nottingham anytime

well the last few days ive been off work feeling quite ill i must of eaten something wednesday as all day thursday i was farting like a trouper then it went one step thurther i wont go into details but its been a pain as i had a lot i wanted to do this weekend but hey oh ive got next week in the afternoons to do my jobs as iam working mornings

next weekend ill be poping down to see dinners iam quite looking forward to it as we have read each others bloger for a while now and seems a intresting chap should take me 2 hours to get down to where he is if traffic is okay should be a laugh, and deffo a curry involved somewhere as iam no more eatng kebabs as i think that what has made me a little ill over the last couple of days

ill go for a walk later as ive not left the house since wednesday evening and iam getting a bit fed up now of being house bound it would of been easyer if i had planned for a weekend at home least i could of eat something more than bluddy soup but this evening iam going to try something a bit more think ill go for a bit of fish and new spuds and peas see how i go with that

dont you hate it when people let you down and you have to rearange all your plans, i was ment to of been going away for the weekend in a couple of weeks time but now iam going to have to rearange my plans to go down another time now, andmy friend could of told me to cancel my plans a couple of weeks ago which made me madder but i suppose ill see everyone in the south east of the country a other time,

other news i think now iam going for a day out next weekend tothe coast i need some sea air not been anywhere as such this year for a day out as the weather hasnt realy been good, ill probly just go to skeggy you may laugh but i like it have me fish and chips and a coupel of beers and enjoy some qulity time to meself, 2010 is going quite well no major dramas things with the girlfreind is going realy well been 6 months now and iam seeing how the next 6 months go, no car problems i dont want any either as last year was a bit of a bitch regarding my car but everything is sorted so i should have a few thousand miles use out of it now before anything realy major needs doing

this weekend ill wash and polish my car as it looks like its been rallying and ill put my amp and speakers in to the car get some good sound coming from it, i used to have me loud speakers and amp in my old car but when i smashed it up i didnt put them in my new car just didnt get round to it, but as ive go a whole weekend off this weekend ill have a go as its not a 10 minuet job but when its done should sound quite good

bullying

one of the storys in the news ive been following a little bit is the bullying row at downing stree, and its made me smile a little at how the prime minister has a slight temper and how some of his staff has been bullyed i cant realy work out who has been doing the bullying as such as if its gordon brown or other members of staff bullying other staff but with the media how it is they make such a big deal with it,

me myself have been bullyed quite a lot thorogh my life most of it was in my childhood and teens luckily ive not had much problems with work life apart from one or 2 episodes but i have sorted the work related bullying out meself and made the other person look silly rather than use my fists like i used to,

but when i was a child the bullying was quite bad, as ive had speech and language problems i was prime target for other kids to take the piss and for years i had lots of mental tourcher at the hands of them but it idid end when i decied to take matters into my own hands, the only way it ended was when i started to fight as when i told the teachers or houseparents as i was a border at school i got beat up by the other kids as i told on them

i think i was around 13 when it all came to ahead i can remember i didnt want to go to school on the monday as i knew it would be anothe week of hell, and wasnt i right i hadnt been at school for half an hour before i got targeted in the toilets and by tea time that evening i was ringing my parents up to come to pick me up and they did,

i was still being chased around infact it was like i was being hunted the only reason i didnt get a beating was my dad and teachers found me, after a bit of talk my dad took me home andi didnt go back for a week, but during that time my dad and uncle taught me some basics of fighting

my dad was into judo at the time and my uncle was in to karate so they taught me the basics like blocking punches a couple of kicks and towards the end of the week i was fairly confident person,

so monday morning i went back to school unknowing what had happend i noticed things had happened i found out that the senior housing units at school had a mini riot nothing to bad but most of the senior lads had barracaded themselfs in the units and spent the week locked in, what caused this was that the senior lads were fed up with being treated like kids which in a way i understood as we were treated like kids

but the riot had ended smoothly and normal service had resumed, i got to school monday morning and i was hearing things of what happened while i was off, no one had come to pick on me or anything and i was quite suprised and happliy confident it was goign to be a trouble free week, but how wrong was i come morning brerak,

i was surrounded by a lot of the lads and the ringleaded was in the middle of the circle with me he was asking where i had been the last week, after words i told him not to mess with me or else and he said or else what so i launched into him with a couple of flying kicks and a chuck over my shoulder, he was totaly stunned i winded him he couldnt move i think the shock of a kid 2 years younger than him flooring him and the rest of the kids looked in amazement at me

not knowing what to do they looked at me and i looked at them and now i was super confident i was ready for anything, i said who's next 2 of his mates came for me and i managed to floor them as well with this being done the rest of the lads moved along and broke the circle and by this time the teachers had come along to see what the fuss was,

all they saw was 3 lads grovling onthe floor with the wind knocked out of them they asked if anything was wrong and we said nothing was wrong and that was that, i didnt have no more kids at school bully me we took the micky out of each other but thats was the worse of it, i was took to one side later that day by the headmaster and all he said to me was that if he ever saw me in another fight like that again there would be trouble and there wasnt realy had the odd scrapp but nothing to serious

i may post one or 2 more cases of being bullyed as theres quite a few more storys i could tell like i was almost kicked out of college for fighting and almost breaking someones leg but they can be for aother post

well iam not normaly one for moaning about the wather but iam getting fed up with this winter and the very sudden changes in the weather we having at the moment, like today i was goign to cycle to work got myself ready for work and just about to go out the house and it chucked it down, do i drove in to work but 10 mins after the rain started it stopped but i suppose it is winter after all

i think also the problem is the last few years we have had very mild winters and i think people have forgotten winter is all about the cold snow ice and rainand this winter has been the 1st proper winter this country has seen for quite a long time, this time last year i had quite a few days out but this year ive not had one, but if the weather is okay ill be going to skeg i think for the day as iam ready for a day out as ive not been anywhere for ages

and while iam in skeg iam sure to have some fish and chips and if the sun is shining ill have them to take out and sit out on the beach, so come on weather be nice and no one sing or do there rain dance or ill not be a happy chappy

iam looking forward to this years formular 1 season very much they have had a few rule changes as in no more refuling also the introduction of 4 new teams virgin racing, lotus f1 which i like the look of there car very much campos meta 1 and us f1 it will be intresting to see how jenson button and lewis hamilton will work out as a team i think jenson has made a big mistake in going to mclaren as with lewis being there boy wonder i think he will be pushed to one side,

i also enjoyed last years formula 1 season as it was quite equaly matched and it was 4 teams fighting for number 1 spot to nearly the end of the season but what angered me was how in the past seasons when michael schumacher kept winning the press and who ever else was involved in f1 were moaning how boring the sport was getting, last season we saw the brawn team with the 1st 6 races with jenson button taking the 1st 6 races then he started to wobble a bit as other teams were catching up andthe press were on jensons back saying he wasnt good enough, you just cant seem to win either way but iam not laying on any bets yet till the 1st race to see how the cars will cope

i think this years formula 1 will be the best for ages as a lot of teams wil be as good as each other and i dont think there will be just one team who will win all the time come on next month for the 1st race

well 2010 has realy gone with a bang been so busy work wise and social life has been quite busy as well this weekend iam working saturday and sunday so my next day off is goign to be next sunday i cant moan as come spring summer ill have a bit of money to go out for the day weekend, and i want to do a bit of going out this year as last year my days out started well but by end of feb kinda ended up non exstisent,

this week saw me turning 34 i dont normaly fuss about birthdays but this year a few people fussed about me which was nice i even got a cake from my girlfriend ive not had a birthday cake since i was a kid but nice all the same, wednesday as it was my birthday i went to the big wok with my girlfreind which was nice but ive got to get her back as she got it annouced over the speakers and i was given a cake with a candle on again not had any fuss like it since i was a kid but it was nice,

car touch wood seems to be running okay no problems as such since my engin was rebuilt and costing me 600 quid, but on the plus its a x reg car and now when iam crusing at 70 in 5th gear the ref counter is ticking over at around 2700 reffs so my petrol consumpion will be a bit more better, but i still need to clean the car and give it a good polish i might do that on my day off on 9th of march,

speaking of work i best get me arse into gear as me dad will be round in 15 mins to pick me up

a bit of a shock

while at the gym today i weighed myself on one of thses machines which tells you what weight you should be for your hight and age and how over weight you are, and i had a bit of a shock when i found out i was still 4 and a half stone over weight, i should be around nine and a half to 10 stones iam thinking ill never be 10 stones but my target at the moment is to get down to 13 stone and i think ill look okay

as i have already lost 2 stone in weight over the last year and a half and iam quite inpressed in how differenti look and now that i dont have man boobs, but i was still shocked to know i was still 4 and a half stone over weight but when i get down to 13 stone i think ill look quite good and about right, with the fittness it has taken a bit of a back seat of late but thats been down to me being lazy and my bad body clock, but iam making a big effort to get back to the gym and been goign back for a couple of weeks now but ive just got to make myself motivated

and for the cycling i realy need to make a effort again as i was doing realy well and again ive not bothered as of me being lazy and the weather hasnt been a help either of late but ill get back into that soon enogh, but one thing i think iam sorting out is my body clock for the last week and a half ive been getting up between half 7 and 8am most mornings which is better than half 9 and 11am, least i can get some stuff done beforei go to work, i still want to inprove on the getting up but i think it will take a bit of time tho to get my body clock totaly sorted but when i do i think the exercise will inprove

well normaly iam not to borthered about these kind of days its just anther money making day for the shops but as its been 3 years since ive had to send a card to a girl i thoguht i'd make the effort this year as ive been seeing my girlfriend for 6 months now and its going quite well, i did mention from early feb that i wouldnt be taking her out for valentines day and she seemed okay with that,

i got her a car with 2 bunches of flower one of them was roses and the other was some colourfull flowers, i also got her a box of chocs and a bear as she likes her soft toys, i also cooked a nice dinner so was all good realy all in all had a good afternoon and evening together,

infact the whole weekend went well i got loads done which ive been putting off for ages and iam even ontop of my music collection getting it in some sort of order

just watched this program call bank of mun and dad, its where parents go and live with there kids for a week who got themselfs into debt, this couple this evening are 26,000 quid in debt there parents go through all there paper work of what they've spent and found where they have gone wrong,

the parents are horrified in how much the debt is but the daugher andher boyfriend arent bothered in the slightest and they dont seem to want to do owt the parents say, they have a car each and paying both monthly and the dad said to the daughters boyfriend to use a bike for a week as it was a 12 minuet ride and he moaned like a kid, they both smoke 20 fags a day which costs them 200 quid a month, they have 12 credit cards between them and the daughters excuse is well if i havnt got the money i can still get it if i like it they blow 80 quid ona night out and thats not including taxis and takeaways

but as the program went on they did give there new buget a go i myself have been in debt and it isnt very nice iam out of it now but at the time it was easy to spend money you havnt got and not have to worry about it but it catches up with you if you dont pay it off right away but i know now that iam never going to get in to that situation, this program bank of mum and dad is good and intresting to see how people live and throw away money then intresting to see the follow up to see how they get on 6 months later most make it and are happy and some struggle

i just hope i never get into as bad debt as some of these as i dont think i could handle the stress as the slight debt i was in worryed me to death, but living is expsenive and hard but you just have to be sensible, at the moment my biggest expense after my rent is food living by myself is hard not to waste a lot of food, but iam getting used to using things up and even if i dont get round to using my fresh veg i make someting out of it now and it lasts a couple of more days,

2010 going okay so far

well 2010 has gone okay so far, just dont seemto have much self time at the moment but apart from that things are going quite smoothly, work is busy i did a 17 hour day saturday iam getting as much overtime as i can at the moment try and save a little for my days and weekends away for a bit later in the year as i would like to get out and about more this year

the only thing wrong with 2010 so far is my body clock is still wanky i am waking up but i just cant seem to get out of bed, i say ill have 10 more mins then the next time i wake up its gone half 9 just seem to be wasting so much time in bed when i dont need to hopefully ill sort my body clock out before to long, i think having a buggered body clock is effecting my eating pattern a little bit as well, as i like to have my proper dinner at midday

but when i dont get up untill after half 9 somtimes i dont feel like a big dinner just a bit of breakfast and it buggers things up ill sort it sooner rather than later but on a whole 2010 is goign quite well, i think 2008/2009 are well and truely behind me

well i poped to tescos on the way home last night 1st time ive been back since i was refused beer last year, i was amazed in how many teenagers were larking around the main entrance getting in the way of cars and shoppers the main danger was the kids on the bikes doing stunts with no regard of anyone or thing aroung them,

as i walked towards the main entrance i saw the secruity guard trying to encruage the kids to get lost and when was entering the shop i didnt have much hope of him getting rid of the kids but when i did my shop and on my way out i was suprised to see the kids had gone and he was smiling, he quite pollitly said eveing and me in return ended up having a 5 min convo with him one of our convos was that how i couldnt do his job as i wouldnt have the patience

he said he finds it hard at times but he just bits his lip and gets on with it, and i quite admired him ina way doing at times a realy shitty job as working as a shops security guard you get loads of shitty attitude from people but then again you'll get just as many people who are okay, but i still dont think i could do that job, also there is a tescos express on top of carlton hill which is a couple of minuets walk if that from where i liveand when iam walking past in the eveing the guard there looks so board and fed up i saw him last night while driving past he looked very fed up,

think this not working in a shop supermarket came from when i was a kid my school offered me work experience and the only thing they offered us was working at the local tescos, back then i had bigger ideas of what i wanted to do my dream job was to be a camra man for somewhere like the bbc or itv, so my parents tryed to get me in to central studios but they at the time wasnt taking any work experince people on, so in the end i stopped at school doing my school work while everyone did there work experince,

my teachers wasnt to inpressed but i was adiment i wasnt going to waste 2 weeks working for nothing in a supermaket, and to this day ive not worked in a shop or supermarket i was very near before i worked at the uni but i got the offer of the uni first, if i had to of taken that job at the supermarket i would of been happy to of stacked shelvs or behind the scences but i would never ever work on the checkouts or behind any of the counters i would be sick to death of asking peoiple for there club cards or if they wanted cash back everytime someone payed by there debit card

ive always had the thinking if you wanted cashback you'll ask theperson for it rather than to be asked, oh well talking of work i best get back to some as iam doing a 16 hour shift today have a goodun and stay safe

i was ment to of wrote this yesterday but never got round to it but sunday evening i watched that new bbc program called rock and chips the only fools and horses prequal i wasnt goign to make any judgement on the programtill i saw it myself, and i was quite pleased to say it was very good

it was good how they introduced the current caraters of only fools and horses as teenagers and the parents and other acters i enjoyed how they broght in freddy the frog played by nicholas lyndhurst but i didnt think he looked right playing a bad guy tho, it was intresting how the show focused it on del boys mum it answered a couple of questions of the only fools and horses show, and iam so pleased the producers didnt have a audiance laughing at every little thing all on all very inpressed such a shame the bbc cant continue to produce good telly like this as once they used to all the time

reading the bbc news and seen another murder has happened in nottingham in lenton abby area of nottingham if i think iam right its the 3rd murder in as many weeks in lenton and radford areas this year and one in kimberly make it the 4th its getting a little scary to be honest as you just dont know whats round the corner you might be happly walking to where ever your going and some nutter will attack you for some unknown reason or even enter your home rob it and threten you with knives or what ever, they get away and if they get caught just get a slap on the wrist and get told not to do it again,

but if you go and tackle the intruder you could find yourself underarest and facing prison, whats that all about this is a open invertaion for any robber to come and rob your house and you have to stand there and let the sods do it cos if you intervine you could find yourself being arested for tackling the robber, if i ever was in this situation and i found someone breaking into my house while i was in i would break his knee caps with some kind of wooden object and dump the fucker in some park land and see what he dose then

ill get friends to say i was with them so its just his word against mine if he dares to go to the cops or logdes a complaint about me, but it is getting a bit daft where you cant defend yourself and what dose come as selfdefence these days i dont know its a mad world and dangerous out there last time i went to town for a drink on a saturday night it wasnt very good you only need to look at someone before they were asking what the fuck was you looking at, you just dont need all this attitude

i was watching some cop thing on telly over the weekend and this cop in america had pulled up this chap and found he was carrying a gun which is totaly okay as the yanks can carry arms, just think if this country could carry arms it would be madness there would be random shootings even on the busses it would be mad if some little fucker was listening to his music like they do these days on there phones and sometimes its quite loud and someone asked him to turn it off and he wouldnt turn it down you'll be able to shoot the fucker i would just to teach him a lesson i wouldnt shoot to kill but pop one or 2 in the knee cap give them a bit of pain for a few months

i dont know it will take a lot to sort the problems out in the once great nation but for now ill just plod along and keep meself safe

well the 1st month of the new year is almost over and done with and i must say its gone okay, been a long one and will be well ready for payday next week as ive had to tighten my budget this month but fingers crossed if nothing else unexpected crops up ill be okay through feburary,

the changes ive made to my lifestyle are coming on okay the eating and fitness are coming on quite nicely now its just a case of keepign it up and if i do ill have no problems the drinking situation iam goign for a whole ban for a while i think as ive cut right down this month ive only drank 3 itmes and on each of those times i hadnt drank a lot around 5 pints but next morning i just felt crap so theres 2 things i can do about this eiher start drinking regularly again to get used to the volume of beer i was used to drink or quite altogether for a while and iam goign to stop for a while as iam quite happy enough without the need for beer

i was thinking about the whole packing up beer before crimbo but i thoguht i'd try to cut down but its not doing anything for me i was just going for a beer on friday evening but when i do go for a drink i like a drink not just one or 2 pints but the only next time i will have a beer for the time being is when dinners comes up which iam quite looking forward to, but everything else is goign quite well so far for 2010 probly next month ill have a couple of more days out as this month we've just not had the weather for it so come on feb be nice weather wise

last night i had a very strange dream, the dream was set back 2 years ago i'd not long moved back upto nottingham and i'd started seeing this girl who ive know for a while but in real life we were only friends, we also have a friend in real life we both know but in the dream he was a oompa loompa and the dream was a real live everyday kinda situation, but every so often the oompa loompa kepted croping up as for one situation in the dream the girlfriend was showing my dad how to do someting on the computer and all of a sudden we could here the oompa loompa song and up behind the monitor he apeared the loompa song ended and he went away

one other situation in the dream was me and the girlfriend was going camping we were driving down the motorway and again the oompa song started and where the bonet the ommpa apeared singing the song and as soon as the song ended he went, the dream has played on my mind most the day as it was very weired

the dream was well strange as ive not had any wired dreams for quite a while ah well hoping for a normal nites sleep this evening

the last couple of years its been a bit of a roller coaster ive come full circle and i can say iam quite content with life at the moment yeah i could do with a little more money but iam quite happy, iam in a full time job which are hard to come by in these hard times iam also in kinda my own home no parents or sister nagging me and i have a nice sexy girlfriend who i say iam realy happy with, life at the moment is quite good

like i say i could do with a bit more money as i had a bit expensive december which has kinda wiped me out money wise, but pay day is soon i have enough food in the house to last me till payday and if i cant go out and what ever i dont mind as i know all my bills are payed and got no worries, and with me being a rather good cook i can russle up a good meal and enjoy a bit of telly

iam at the moment planning a holiday at the end of april with my girlfiend thinking we going to portagul for a week all inclusive so we'll not have to fuss about eating out all the time ive done that and its a pain in the arse least with all inclusive all you have to do is go downstairt to the resturant and tuck in, theres always loads of choice and ive not had a problem with the food unlike i have had wih going selfcatering, so iam quite looking forward to april and spending some time with my girlfirend

we have now had this bad weather for nearly 4 weeks now iam okay with it yeah it is a pain in the arse espcily on my road as its been iced up and very slippery for the last 3 weeks now yesterday wheni went up the road to the shops i could hardly walk without nearly ending up on my arse, i got a little thurther up the road and this little old lady was having trouble i saw her about to fall so i rushed over to her and stoped her from falling,

i hope the council start doing something about the side road sooner rather than later as they'll be lots more people going to a&e with broken or cracked arms and what ever, i was listening to bbc radio nottingham this morning and was in one way funny and another way i was bemused that people are still not coping with the icey roads and what ever

yeah i can understand people in the 1st week not being used to the bad weather but we have had it for nearly 4 weeks now surely people understand that they need to plan a lot more time and slow the FUCK down why do drivers still want to roam arond at 100 mph when you surely cant, and people wonder why theres accidents on our roads

and also people are still panic buying theres no need iam all sorted food wise i could russle up a meal no problems but a lot of todays people just done seem able to manage to plan there meals and use there head iam waiting for summer as ill not be hearing how cold it will be but god its hot aint it

hope everyones new year is going okay mine is okay so far, slight changes to my life style are goign kinda okay the drinking is amost not there so far this year ive had 2 halfs a larger and this year ive had a vodka and vimto, so not bad at all i think,

but one of the things iam totaly failing on is getting up this morning i set my alarm at 6am i went to sleep almost as soon as me head hit the pillow but i dont think i even heard my alarm as i didnt wake up untill half 9 and didnt get up untill 10am, was quite pissed off but i think this getting up and getting my body clock sorted will be a hard job to sort,

but everything else is going okay the weight i gained over crimbo is goign down quite quickly stillnot doing as much cycling as i like to as of the weather but iam going to the gym more, the eating is kinda sorted ive been treating myself to 1 supper a week i know its only been 2 weeks since ive started this new routine but still needs work

the drinking thats going okay i guess, since new years eve ive only gone to the pub once which ive had 2 halfs a larger and this evening ive had a vodka and vimto as i want to finish my bottle of vodka off as it will be there for another few months if i dont finish it off this evening, so skytower theres your answer to your facebook comment lol

on another note iam watching this program on telly 10 years younger while iam writing this post its about this woman stylist who go to other women who have let themselfs go and transform them and try and make them 10 years younger or at least a bit younger, ive watched a couple of them and they do make a big difference to some of these womens lifes but this eve's one the woman tonight she has over a 100 pairs of shoes bluddy hell i only own 2 pairs of shoes lol one pair of shoes for work and best and a pair of trainers, i tell a lie i own 2 pairs of trainers one for best and one for doing odd jobs aroundthe house and what ever and a pair of steel toecaps and some walking boots so theres 5 pairs of shoes but even tho not the best realy to say ive only got 2 pairs of shoes of which i can go out in

the gym and 1st day back at work

today is my 1st day back towork after 3 weeks off as ive been off work for 3 weeks and hardly done anything at all as in gym or cycling i was suprised that i only put 3 lbs in weight on, but saying that ive not realy gone over the top with eating or drinking so i wasnt expecting a big weight gain anyway my main concern was my fittness level

so i went to the gym today as its open again as its works gym and with the uni being closed the gym was closed but it was open last week when the uni opened but i was off work fighting a cold and i wasnt up for much at all so i stopped in and kepted warm well i went ot the gym during my dinner break and was suprised that i hadnt lost any of my fitness

infact i was realy suprised goodness knows how i managed it maybe it was playfighting with my girlfriend or whatever but iam pleased wiht the fact ive not lost any of my fitness, now its the case of getting my routine sorted as in going to bed and getting up and being active as i want to get up at 6am most mornings and get out for a hour for a walk / run along with my gym work, the problem ive been having for the last couple of months is not the waking up is the getting out of bed

i wake up around 6am most morings i say 10 more mins and find out when i wake up again i have had another 2 - 3 hours sleep and its 9am, but the last couplel of days i have been making a effort in trying to get up ive been getting up at 8am better but iam sure i can do better and make the most of my morning

and with it being my 1st day back at work after a 3 week break from work i was suprised to find the lake still frozen over in most places its been like this since and before i broke up from work 23rd december, ive not missed much by the sounds of things and life is returning to the uni after the crimbo break

and talking of which i best get some work done tme to kick some students out and lock some buildings up

my 3 week break has gone quite well got lots done including plently of time on the sofa watching the telly or on me xbox, even tho ive enjoyed my time off work iam ready to go back tomorrow goingto be intresting to see how the uni copes with this weather it seems to be business as normal at work we shall see,

while i was off one of my jobs was to sort me music out and get it in some kind of order, as i now normaly play it on the pc i find it easyer to sort and store the storing bit has been okay but the sorting hasnt ive let that go a bit, so ive redownloaded a bit of my collection and added a bit more i have reloaded my music libary on my winamp player and now its saying i have 25,000 mp3's which is quite a lot i have also been making some play lists up so i can play a certain kind of music or have music playing from one artist or a mix of everything,

also i have been making a album list up as iam getting quite a lot of music now i need to know what i have got that is a work in progress and before you ask i have backed all my music up onto dvd's so if my pc crashes ive still got my music collection unlike before i lost 15,000 mp3's they were all sorted and play lists made and i did cry but iam back to where i was and better iam being geeky here but i have also backed my playlists up as well

ill try and go out for a walk this afternoon as ive not been out the house since friday evening as ive been trying to fight off a cold and iam starting to feel a bit of a hermit think returning to work is going to be a shock to the system, it still makes me laugh how the uk cant cope with a bit of snow it realy dose it only needs to snow like it is doing now for a good few hours in the evening and we will be bolloxed again for a couple of days

hasnt this new year gone off with a bang cold snowy weather but the whole of the uk seems to go to a standstill when we ever seem to have a couple of inches of snow, but when we do have some snow why do we always come to a standstill and people go crazy on the roads, i understand its totaly different driving in the snow so why dont people use a bit of common sence and drive a bit slower and not bother going out unless realy nessercery

since ive been off work i broke up on the 24th of december i think ive only been out in my car 4 times, and 3 of those times it was hard work as conditions were quite bad but a lot of people still wanted to drive around at a 100mph, not me i go round very carefully so i dont end up like so many others crashing iam back at work monday 11th of jan i might even cycle to work i dont mind the cold as such i just have to be extra carefull

i think the news have been making a big issue over the weather yes it is bad but a lotof the main roads in nottingham are okay, its just the side roads which are a problem all people need to do is take a bit more time in there journeys thats all and also be prepaird as in take a shovel so if you do end up in a bit of trouble you can dig yourself out,

problem with people these days is they rush around wanting everything done yesterday but its not always possible everyone needs to chill a bit and think and think of others for once, and i say once a gain slow down a bit and why oh why are people going mad at the shops stocking up i can understand people stocking up in remote areas but city's and towns theres no need i do have a bit more bread and cobs in the freezer than i normaly do only cos i dont realy want to be out but ive not gone overboard like some of them are doing

by the looks of things we got this cold spell for a while so come on people stop acting the twat use your common sence ??????????

I was ment to have done this post a couple of days ago but happy new year all hope everyone has all recovered i wasnt to bad new years day a little tired maybe but nothing major tho, at this time of year people are on about making resoultions and what ever, iam not bothering this year as like me many people fail but this year iam making a couple of little changes to my life style

one is to kinda stop drinking i will only now have a beer on special occations like when i meet dinners for a beer or 2 which looks like its going to be end of the month, but one reason iam doing this is cos i now dont drink as much as i used to, i used to go out for a drink 5 to 6 times a week, and yes iam was a big drinker i could sink 6 pints a night no problems and at weekends anything upto and over 10 but over the last 2 years i realy have cut it right down i go out once a week maybe twice and when i do go for a pint these days i wake up feeling crap and most the next day is all but wasted while iam recovering,

and before anyone sugests trying hangover cures or what ever ive tryed and nothing seems to work, like i say iam not totaly quitting having a beer but will only drink once and a while i did stop drinking once before i did it for 8 months, but i did start again, drinking these days for me isnt just to get drunk like it once was its more a socail thing see me mates at the pub for a hour or 2 catch up with what me mates have done during the week gamer of pool and a laugh and take the piss out of each other if the ocation arises

plus this year i want to lose that final bit of weight so a tweak here and there to my diet nothing drasic but needs to be done, and also try and get my sleepig pattern sorted as its realy crap at the mo, iam finding iam waking up when i want but the getting out of bed is the hard bit, i normaly say 10 more mins and when i next wake up ive had another hour or 2 in bed so hopefully i can sort that our think ive found a way to get me out of bed just move my alarm clock to the other side of the room so i have to get out of bed to turn it off rather than just extend my arm out lets see hey

hope everyone had a good crimbo eat plently and drank loads, my crimbo has kinda been a sober one this year just not felt like getting drunk dont know why but just havnt, but its been the best crimbo for years tho

even tho my car repair before crimbo has made me a bit skint i have had a realy good few days, spent a bit of time with the family a lot of time with the new girlfriend and some time with friends, and on my own as i have kinda my own place, ive had no nagging or anything what so ever, just pleased meself this year and ive not become flued up either so i even enjoyed my crimbo dinner,

crimbo day for the 1st time ever i went for a pint at the local which i quite enjoyed and a couple of pints got me a hunger going then i was round me parents for some dinner then the afternoon me new girlfriend came round which was nice has a very relaxed evening, boxing day i did sod all, watched a bit of telly the ladyfriend came round and watched a bitmore telly

the sunday took one of me currys round to the local pub as me mates have been asking me for ages to do them one so i did and i made a big pot and it all went was quite chuffed they all liked it i knew they would as it was the same as the last one i did for me mates birthday bbq and that all went as well,

for the rest of the week iam going to be either on the computer or xbox iam currently playing call of duty 4 modern warfair i must say what a great game can spend hours on it, this evening i have had 3 - 4 hours on it getting through it bit by bit, ive had a bit of a go on the online bit of the game and that will keep you going for a bit i dont know how long the game is but i think iam half way through by the looks of it i dont know how many storys they are but ive probly had 10 hours play now just see how it goes

thurs is new years eve going round the 2 local pubs this year with the ladyfriend quite looking forward to it as well as might be ready for a beer by then hope you all have a safe new years eve what ever your doing have a good one

over the last 2 days ive been very inpressed and very uninpressed 1st with the inpressed, while i had no car monday i had to use the bus this normaly wouldnt be a problem but i had to work till half 11 in the evening, this meaning my bus from work didnt get here till 23:48 and got to town 23:58 then my bus from town to home left 0:05 dont leave me much time to play with my bus only needed to me a minuet or 2 late at work then my bus from town to be a early by a couple of mins but all went nicely

i got into town at 23:59 and my bus came dead on 0:05 and i was in bed all tucked up by half 12 so all good, one thing i wasnt inpressed with was the royal mail my presents have got to everyone the next day i posted them but from them to me took a week so wasnt very inpressed with royal mail, i was going to leave it untill today to make a complaint but luckly i didnt need to so come on royal mail get your arses into gear hey

well think iam all ready for crimbo presents all brought and wrapped even my girlfriends presents are all sorted i know super organized ill not have to wizz around like a idiot with the rest of them on crimbo eve like i normaly do, ive just got to get some food shopping in and jobs done iam goign to be at asda for just after 6am when the nutters are still wrapped up in bed,

by 11am ill want to be at a stage where all me shopping is done and put away and beer cooling in the fridge house work all done and me just had a fry up breakfast, by 1pm ill be sat in my watering hole the old dog and partridge having a pint and watching the world go round, and the nutters in the pub getting pissed as this pub you seem to get some right old caraters come in from alcholics to the norm person coming in its just my kinda a pub and i think one of the cheapest in town,

least ill get a couple of hours entertainment while iam in there its a hard pub to explane you'll just have to go in it to see what i mean

i have just 2 days of graft left weds eve ill finish at 6pm not 10pm like i normaly do come 6:15 ill be in the pub with me work mate having a couple of pints before we go home chilling after a long busy term at the university and boy its been a tough one but all worth it come weds eve 6pm

after reading dinners post about his friendly but slightly troubled friend who he gave a hug to i found my self in a simlar situation a while back, i had a evening out in town with a bunch of mates and while waiting for the last bus home i was happily tucking into my supper of fish and chips,

i'd just finished my supper and this sorry looking girl sat next to me and started talking to me, she was rambling about how a lot of people look unhappy and how a rubbish place the world is sometimes, i didnt know this girl from adam but me being me chatted to her just to be polite, all of a sudden she burst into tears and she did cry the poor thing next minuet i found she has snuggled upto me my arm round her and was like that for half anhour while waiting for the bus

we had a good chat about everything, she had stopped crying but i could still tell she still wasnt right so i asked her if she was waiting for the bus and she was she offered if i wanted to come back for a drink, i saidi would be happy if she came round my place as i knew it was safe and she only lived round the corner of what she said so bus came and we got to mine,

after a very long chat and many cups of tea i found out her boyfriend had cheated on her, she found out in the most crap way as well she had go into town to meet him for a drink but she had got to the pub a bit early but he was already there with another girl, she watched them from a distance for nearly a hour and it wasnt just a friend she saw them doing things friends shouldnt do if you know what i mean

by this time it was daylight 7am i wakled her round the corner to her house and i got back to my place and bed it was, it turned out to be rather a long night but good, even tho i could of got my leg over i didnt it didnt feel the right time or place, i did see her from time to time afterwards but i have moved house since and not seen or heard from her since this all happened when i lived in chelmsford but me being me i always seem to get the werid ones broken hearted or just idiots when iam waiting for the bus so i just dont do them much these days

why when we have a bit of snow the counrty falls to bits, yeah i know a lot of people arnt used to snow but bluddy hell the madness it causes we only have a couple of inches and never gets below -5 hardly how do you think places like canada copes and they go below -10 and more just makes my laugh realy

but on a serious note was reading me mates facebook status he had a bit of a prang while driving last nite he was okay but his car was a little worse for wear as he had problems with the snow and ice, ill no doubt get a full story when he blogs about it in due time, ive had a couple of near misses with snow and ice while driving, quite scary realy but iam alive to tell the story

one time i was driving in ice and snow the snow just suddenly came down no warning and gave all the roads quite a covering, couldnt see the pavement or road wher it started or ended and deffo couldnt see any road markings, as ther was so much snow fall, but if you took your time you things were okay unlike so many drivers of today who want to get to places at 100 mph, but anyway that will be another post back to my near miss

i was driving down a big hill rad was very snowy andi was crawling at 5 mph andeven at that speed when i tapped my breaks it made my car skid once i started to skid that was it, i went all the way down the hill even tho i couldnt stop the cari was under controll i couldnt pull it into the side of the road as they was all parked cars in the way and would of caused to much damage so i just continued skidding down the hill

i got to the bottom of the hill still unable to stop the car i saw the traffic lights were on red but i know there was traffic coming from the main road i got worried now as i knew i was goign to go through the red lights i did and 2 cars narrowly missed me by inches i was sweating by now luckly after a few more mins i did come to a stop after the traffic lights i knew there was a car park so i decied to pull into that and in the end i mangaed to pull to a stop by gently pulling upto a brick wall

luckly theer was no damage to me or my car or any of the other drivers silly enoguh the main road was okay as it had been salted but the side roads were like ice rinks, i thanked my luck stars and got home and had a whisky or 2 to settle my nervous, driving these days isnt much fun like it was when i started you need eyes and ears eveywhere as you never know whats goign to happen to yourself out on the roads

iam not a happy chappy, good job theres a gym at work as ive just had half anhour kicking shit out the boxing bag, you ask why well heres why, yesterday while driving to work my car came to a sudden stop i knew right away what it was but i didnt want to believe it but yup was the cambelt tensioner,

what dose that mean you ask well for me 668 quid as i need a new cambelt kit fitting and new piston vavles fitting, basicly a engin rebuild and iam no way attemting to do it on this car as the engin is so much bigger than my old astra, and lots more sensors and gubbings to very easily bugger my car up even more if i done put the bits back in the right place so the garage it is,

its quite a pisser as a lot of my crimbo plans are going to be shelved maybe most my crimbo plans will be buggered, but least ive not got the flu like i did last year and the year before, the year before that crimbo was rubbish and the one before that yup my cambelt went on my astra a week in the garage stripping and rebuilding me engin so iam thinking crimbo isnt a good time for me as something always seem to happen, but least iam not ill or anything thats a plus and ive got a lovely new ladyfriend to cuddle upto

was reading a post on a friends blog about his car and thoght ill make a post about my car and driving, my dad said when i was aproaching 17 that i should do my driving test even tho i might not have a car right away it will come in usefull plus the driving test will become much harder,

so i went in for driving lessons and passed my test on my 3rd try, i didnt have a car right away i didnt have a car till i was 24, but i had the use of my dads car in the evenings and weekend and my job was within cycle distance so i didnt need all the expense of having one at the time,

my 1st car was a astra mk2 h reg 1992 was a great car had electric windows central locking and electric wing mirrors and a sunrove and even a electric areal that lasted me 4 years drove it round the uk very often did many happy a mile in the old battle wagon it started to cost me a lot of money towards the end of its life and the last year of me owning it the cambelt went and it involved me and me dad doing a rebuild of the engin and lasted another 6 months before i got my next car

well i got myself a p reg top of the range mondeo great car was my pride and joy i did all the little jobs on it fixed the electric window restored the paint work sorted the rear arches which the last owner made a good and proper bodge job off the car looked showroom condition the chap who i brought it from asked to buy it back cos i made such a good job of it, i had a nice loud sound system in the car and that lasted a year

the car was a badun from the start, 4 weeks from owning it i was waiting to pull off from a island and a lady driver smashed into me from behind, 8 months later i i was driving down to cornwall for a camping trip with a mate and had a bit of a prang, the car was a write off think me dad was more gutted than me about that car as he drove my car in the evenings that was the end of that

so after i had my prang in my modeo which i loved i didnt have a car for a little while as i had to save up for a car about 7 months later i got this little gem as from my pic you can see its a x reg laguna 2 liter a nice beast i had one or 2 teething problems but luckly it was under 3 months warranty so it cost nothing good thing realy as my clutch went and the water punp and fan belt went

but the guy at the garage was good enough to fix the car no quesitons and its run like a dream i gsave it a major service back in may i changed the breaks, the front right break pipe and a break vavle which was leaking cost me all in all 60 quid including the breaks vavle and spark plugs and what ever for the service bit, and the car runs great i can when iam brave enogh travel at 120mph with no problems i dont do that very often once and a while even at 120mph its still got a bit of go in it, once got it to 135mph before i ran out of room on the road and even then the beast still had go in it i would love to get the car on a race track one day and see how much i can get out of the beast,

but there is nothing wrong with the car what so ever the car dont look as gleaming like that on the pic at the moment it needs a good wash and polish and will look good as ever and yeah i have got a good sound system in the car as i do like me music,

as iam into my cars as a project i would love one of these great beasts a ford granada 2.8 ghia x to restore what a beast all the gagits in it for the age of the car its better than mine i have now one day when i have room for a 2nd car ill own one iam sure i will,

well iam almost ready for crimbo done all my present shopping done most of it online but i had to buy some of it in shops so i went into town before work today and it was mental people just wondering aimlessly around in there own little world, but i got what i wanted and came out happy, iam so happy i dont have to work in a shop espicily over the crimbo period as it would drive me bonkers

tomorrow is the last day of term for our students as they go off for ther crimbo break, and about another week and a bit it will be the staff who will finish i break up onthe 23rd of december and come back on the 4th of jan, will be quite a nice break and iam ready for it as its been quite busy since september ive not realy had a break since beginning of august so iam ready for a rest ive had the odd long weekend off and ive found myself quite busy then so it will be nice not have to do anything as such, i have a few things to do over the 12 days ive got off but its not work related or doing anything round the house

was reading dinners post about when he went to the dole office to see if he could sign on, and had no luck as he didnt meet the right criteria what a load of bollox makes me so mad i tryed to sign on once, i was 20 years old at the time and was layed off from work just before crimbo,

i didnt realy want to sign on as i didnt want to be sitting with all those depressed people or the ones who had no intention to work, but me dad said you might as well you worked and payed into the system go and see what you can get, so i did i filled out the forms and they dont half want to know a lot dont they

with my forms all filled in i was told i would hear someting very soon and my money would be back dated so ill not have lost anything after 2 weeks i got a phone call form the dole office asking if someone could come round and check me out and see if i am who i say iam i said okay a coulpe of days later this big black woman came knocking on the door,

she says that she was from the dole office and she came in asked me a couple of questions while she was doing this her attitude changed she was sniffing her nose as in she was looking down at me, she asked me if my parents couldnt give me money to keep me going while i looked for work,

my reaction was disbelive i had to ask her again to repeat what she just asked and when i heard for the 2nd time i went so mad i said no they couldnt as they were only just coping themselfs at the time in my disbelive i froged marched her out of the house got my forms and ripped them up and chucked them at her, i told her to get stuffed and what ever she was babbling on about if i didnt get any money i needed to continue to sign on cos of my national insurance i said get fucked and i didnt hear from them again,

i did take a loan from me dad over crimbo and was lucky to of got a job quite quickly after crimbo, but when you work and payed into the sysem dosent matter of your standard of living you should be intilted to some help just make me so mad that if your honest and hard working you get sod all when you need help and all these tossers who have no intention of work get everyhting,

and if i did know anyone who was claming and working on the side i would grass on them no second thoughts at all as there are also to many people who do that as well, hope you pass your driving instructors course dinners and the rest of you stay safe as theres still madduns around

what a season this years formula 1 was, bit of scandal the boss of the renualt team got banned for race fixing toyota and bmw teams pulling out of the race and even renualt team are not sure if they are going to be in f1 for next season, but we have another british champion in jenson button, iam pleased he has finaly won a champion ship some people say he should of won 2 by now but he may do well in Mclaren next year

but iam not to sure him teaming up with lewis hamilton is such a good idea as he could get sidelined as lewis number 2, but i think it will be intresting to watch tho as there seems like theres going to be a few drivers moving around and the return of the great michael schumacher to some reports and he could be racing with the new mercedes team previouly brawn, plus with lotus making a return and also 1 other new team due for a stat should be intresting,

but one thing which has made me kinda pissed is the press for a while when michael schumacher was dominating f1 the press were making reports saying they was getting bored with just 2 teams being so far ahead, but this year has seen for the 1st time in a while f1 very competive and the campionship taken almost to the last race and at least 3 or 4 drivers with a chance of winning the f1 drivers crown thoguht most of the season it was only the 2nd to last race when it was all over and done with

i think it should be like this keep poeple on there toes and make it intresting rather than the drivers campionship already won halfway throgh the season like it had been for a while iam looking forward to next season, with the introduction of a couple of new teams

i realy do wonder if any of our students here at the university where i work have any comment sence at all, i was locking up one of the buildings earlyer this evening i said to these 2 lads i was going to lock up this room now, to the normal person this would of of mean pack up your stuff and leave the room wouldnt it to me it would but the convo which followed got be a little baffled and bemused

after i said i would like to lock the room up lad 1 said to me so we cant use the computer equipment i said no as i would like to lock the room up he gave me a blank look and started to pack his stuff up, chap 2 went to me and said so your locking the room up and we cant use the computer equipment, i said no as ive already said i want to lock the room up, then all of a sudden chap 2 burst out and said bluddy hell give me a minuet then,

i just looked in amusement and didnt say anything just tryed and give a blank look to them both i did have this situation early in the year with 2 indian lads i might write about this in another post but this lasted a whole week and a half tho

some people hey these people here at the university are suppose to be inteligent but i dont think so if they cant understand that when i ask them i want to lock this room up they should leave how on earth can they study for a degree

my long weekend flew by but i got all what i wanted to do so thats a plus now its only 6weeks till i break up from work for nearly 2 weeks, i just cant believe how quick time is going this week is flying by again and crimbo is going to be all over and done with before you know it and we'll be in 2010

ive not watched xfactor this time infact ive not watched it for a couple of years to be honest as it seems all the wrong people seem to get through and all the good telent dont seem to get through just like these twins who are in this years show, my god ive seen all the expsoure in the press how they are hated and i listen to chris moyles radio show and he slates them beyond belive,

he put the song they did on his show and they did the ghostbusters song and it sounded like it was rushed or something as it sounded terrible, i realy hope they dont win this years show as they will only be one hit wonders iam sure about that just look at last years or was it the year before leon jackson won what has he done since and shane ward he had one or 2 hits but he has seemed to of dissapeared into dust,

the only one who seems to be doing owt is that rik walker i think his name is he didnt win the show but he is on the line crusers sinning and making a living good on him as the others have not done owt like that irish chap who was mentored by sharon osbourne he was good and thoght he would of got snapped up by someone but not heard a thing

enough of me going on about xfactor its nice to see a bit of sunshine in robin hood county today as the last few days have been rarther rubbish but i have still cycled to work tho not drove me car since friday i think, tomorrow i best drive it round the block just to make sure nothing sezzes up on it, but iam sure ill drive me car over the weekend if its nice like this iam sure ill go somewhere for the day

my days off have been okay done a lot of what i needed to do, tiyed the garden up a bit done a couple of jobs on the computer and even made a start on making a couple of play lists up on winamp media player, enjoyed a few hours out yesterday to elverson castle and watched a bit of telly which was one of the jobs i wanted to pay a bit of attention to,

had a beer or 2 last night which i enjoyed this eve iam just going to plop myself infront of the box i think as got a mate coming round 2mora eve for a game of golf on the xbox, that golf game is quite good think ill have a hour or 2 this afternoon before my special new ladyfriend comes round,

other than that not much happening and ill have a listen to dinners radio show this eve should be a goodun of what ive heard from his past radio shows

well iam sat here at half 9 in the evening listening to chris moyles show yup it is the evening and his show is in the morning but i like to listen to it in the evening sometimes, anyway iam just waiting to lock one more building up then i can go home for a nice long weekend yup ive got thursday and friday off from work,

ive not had anytime off as such since begining of august so iam ready for a mini break, and it all depends on the weather of what iam going to do with my time off, this week weather wise has been a bit rubbish raining most the time, if it rains ill be a little bit of a hermit ive got plently of things to watch on the old box iam also going to make a bit pot of stew and dumplings enought for 3 days so i dont realy have to cook untill monday even friday iam being cooked for so if its goign to rain i can be a hermit and be very lazy,

if its nice ill venture out and probly go to the dales and have a walk round and visit a country pub, not done that for a while to be honest as this year has been a bit of a quick madun i can tell you, plus weather has been a pain so had to cancel a lot of my days out ,

my poor mate at work has got himself a busy couple of days to end the week off so ill be getting on his nervous keep txting him saying if he is busy while iam on the sofa yeah iam a evil sod like that and he is going to be busy by the looks of things

also iam going to go to a fireworks display this year as ive not done anything like that for a couple of years well ive got someone to take this year so will be worth the effort even have a pub meal before the fireworks as well cant be bad hey

what a thing of beauty the doner kebab, it has been a part of my life for the last 10 years most the time there is nothing better than scoffing on a doner after a beer or 2,

but lately i have been falling out of love with one of my fav foods and not going to have any more for a while, i dont know why but the last 3 months or so i have not been to inpressed with them i even left mine sunday night after a couple of mouthfulls wasnt nothing dodgey with the kebab as i watched the chap from my local takeaway lovingly make the kebab, it must be me and my taste buds

i sure hope its just a tempory fault with my taste buds and i return to liking the kebab very soon as the kebab and i have had many enjoyable menorys together over the years its kept me company through many hard times through the years but for now ill have to get along without the endless taste sensations ive had, one of my own crations of the kebab i like when iam super hungry is doner meat 2 burgers cut up chicken tikka with loads of cheese and salad with what ever sauce iamin the mood for at the time but for now bye bye old friend and i hope to munch on you once again in the future

tescos being wankers

i was listening to radio nottingham our local radio station earlyer today and the presenter was having a disscusion about this chap who owned a pub and lived in this village for the last 15 years he also was a member of the pub watch scheme he went to tescos with his 17 year old daughter to do a bit of a food shop and buy some wine,

upon paying for the things he brough from tescos the checkout person said they couldnt sell the wine to him cos he might of gave it to his daughter, i know tesco and some ofther supermakets now have if you dont look 25 you'll need to show your id, but this is taking things a bit to far i think, so now what do you have to do keep the kids at home when you do your food shopping or get someone to look after your kids if you have no one else when you go to the supermarket to buy beer or wine

i know we need to check for peoples id if the person selling beer or wine to someone they dont think looks old enough but it is taking the piss when the checkout person wouldnt serve you the drink cos you may give it to someone who you with is underage

even ive been asked for id lately when iwent to tescos i went to do a monthly shop and i stocked up ona bit of booze the woman before i started to pack my bags asked me for id i looked at her a little shocked as ive not been asked for id for a long time i had non with me and i was unshaven and iam 33 i asked her if she was being serious and she said she wanted id

as i had non she wouldnt serve me the 2 people behinde me looked a bit bemused i was a bit pissed off as i spent 30 minuets walking round tescos loaded up 100 quids worth of food and beer it was all most all layed out on the till after a bit of talking to her i said well you can keep all this as iam not coming back to pick me beer up at a later stage she said i could take me food i said in a not so nice way thanks but no thanks you can keep the lot, i did get a clap from the 2 people behind me the check out girl looked a bit pissed off but i didnt give a damm

and to this day ive never steped in to a tesco i went to asda the next day to do my montly food shop i did take id and the woman on the check out did ask for my id i gave it to her and she was supprised i was 33 she said i didnt look bad for a 33 year old, the woman was much plesnter and she did say they were doing this new rule that if you dont look 25 you will be asked for id and i had no problem with that at all i think i was more pissed the previous day cos the womans attitude at tescos think thats what wound me up more

yes i do understand we have to check for people who are underage but i think its going a bit nutts when you go to do your food shooping and buy a bottle of wine or beer only to be told we cant serve you it cos you may give it to your child come on tesco wankers use some common sence for once

hello blogland hope everyone is okay and had a good weekend mine was okay i had a lazyish one caught up on a bit of telly iam realy getting in to my stargate now iam upto season 7 iam also recording that new stargate universe iam goign to watch all ive recorded on sunday i think, and have a bit of a pig out on junk food as ive been so good of late, iam going to follow on from my last post about the fat man which has been in the press of last week

ive struggled with my weight always been on the big side i noticed it 2 years ago when i moved back to nottingham i didnt think i was that over weight but after working with my dad one day and i couldnt lift myself in the loft i decied to do something about it, i was 4 stone over weight at just over 16 stone i knew i had to do something about it but i kept kidding myself i was okay and it would sort it self out,

the last 6 years untill 2 years ago i was living in excess eating way to much without burning anything off i could easyily have breakfaast which was 4 times out of 7 something fryed take a packed lunch to work have a cooked evening meal then 3 - 4 times a week have a takeaway which normaly was enough for 2 people to share quite easyily plus my drinking was well out of controll,

over the last 2 years i have lost 2 strone i could of done 3 stone but i have been lazy in a way as its kinda been 2 steps forward and 5 back it has been hard to get in to some kinda routine but i think i have found one at last and iam now doing okay i have dropped my drinking right down ill just go out on a friday evening have a few beers and a vodka and coke or 2 i dont seem to go out during the week as i used to and if i do its only one night during the week on the way home from work and its probly 2 pints and thats it

with the weight loss ive had to chuck some of my old clothes out gave 2 big bags to a charity shop last month iam not going mad in buy loads of new clothes just yet as i want to lose another stone and a half and see how i look and go for a shopping spree for some new clothes then i supopse,

iam giving meself 5 months to lose a stone and ahalf it should be a good enough time scale todo it if iam doing enough exercise i would like to get back into jogging as i used to enjoy that i got myself upto 5 miles around march but since march ive hardly done nothing exercise wise apart from working and cycling ive been luck not to put any weight back on since march but a little pissed off that i was lazy as hell not to have done more to have lost more but now ive got my motivation back iam determined to go for it

during the week i have been following this story of the worlds fattest man who lives in england he is a wopping 70 stone, he needs a 20 thousand pound op to save his life, yeah i felt sorry for the chap but when more storys of him started to pop up i had another opinion of him

he wanted be like that the anount of food he scoffed through was amazing in one sitting he could munch away on 5 potions of fish and chips and thats just one sitting and the rest of the day was amazing of what he went thogugh, he needed a 3ft wide wheelchair cos he was so huge

the paper who was reporting the story says he needed a helicopter to move him into an renforced amblence as he was such a huge weight and we are paying for all this i do thing people who are like that should pay for themselfs to be honest as he got himself in to that situation

i have struggled with my weight for a long time its up and down all the time but over the last 2 years ive been working hard to sort my weight problem out and quite happy with what ive done with myself yes it is hard to keep to a diet when you been eating what you like as i did but i think once you have dropped the weight you can eat what you want within reason

you can go to the chippy for a fish supper once a week rather than every day like i was doing i was even having my evening meal with my parents then go out for a few beers and go to the chippy or takeaway at least 3 or 4 times a week if not more maybe but thats all been cut down,

but my lifestyle has changed quite a lot this last 2 years i do every now and again go off the rails but i know if i have a lazy day at home and have a bit of a pig out i know to be good the rest of the week and it seems to work itself out,

just hope this fat man who has been in the papers this week sorts himself out and get some grip or like the papers say he will be dead very soon, ill post about my weight loss in a thurther post

when i was in my late teens arund 18 i started to get into making my own beer and wine some of it was very good then some ofit was just chucked down the sink as it didnt turn out very well, one of my 2 regular brews were a white wine from a kit and a larger which was also from a kit

they made a very nice easy drink not to strong but good enugh to get drunk on, after getting used to making these 2 brews i made the larger a bit stronger, the larger was 4% proff but i wanted a beer around 8% well 1st attempt was chucked down the drain as it didnt work reason why was cos i added more sugar and yeast but i didnt leave it long enugh to fermet,

so 2nd attempt to make 8% proff larger i left it to fermet longer and it turned out great looked like a pint of carling a nice crisp head even tho it was a 8% larger it tasted a 4% larger and was a big hit with me mates as ive tryed other larger at 8% and its tasted horrid but this was very nice
so i made this on a regular basis i made around 40pints at a go so had plently in stock

other things i made was wine that was a bit hit and miss at first but i got there in the end i regulary made apricot wine and plum wine as well i had a go at making red but never got me head round it, my dads garden shed was a right proper brew house regulary me mates came round for a beer as i had electric i fitted the shed with a telly and radio had a parifin heater and had many hours with me mates in the shed getting drunk and it cost me hardly sod all in the end,

i did get in to making vodka and brandy one of my fav sprits i made was cheery vodka i remember taking some home made cheery vodka with me on a holiday with some chatroom mates and lets say it finished the night off very nicely as we had around a 12 hour bender and got back to the cottage and 3 of us who hadnt passed out starte on my cheery vodka

regarding bbc's comments about making your own brew think its best just go forit start with the kit form then read a couple of books about it and you can't far go wrong the main thing is the fermentation period is to matain a regular tempture

well winter is fast aproaching us and the first few weeks of the new term has started at the university where i work one thing i have noticed is the last week is the amount of people who are coughing and sneezing, iam sitting in the office at work and all i can hear from the classrooms around me and peiple walking past my office is sneezing and coughing

ive this year have had my flu jab i have not the last 2 years and ive had every cold and bug thing under the sun but this year iam hoping i dont get much apart from a little bit of a cold i can put up with that, iam also taking some vitimins as well this year to keep meself going just hope i dont end up like i did last year

i went all okay from september to december with out much problems even me mate at work said ive done well to get to december without much of a problem then as soon as he said that the last week of term before we break up for crimbo i fell ill, i was that bad i was ill all over crimbo and didnt even have my crimbo dinner which i was realy looking forward, i was looking forward to last crimbo as at the university we have around 10 to 12 days off when i was with the angency i had to use my holiday leave to cover it,

yes it was a pain but i was still looking forward to having 12 days off and i had a few things planned for it but with me falling ill crimbo was cancled but this year now iam perm at the university i get payed for the 10 - 12 days off so iam looking forward to this crimbo on the plus side the days off at crimbo dont come out of my annual leave days either,

this crimbo iam going to go away for a holiday somewhere not sure where yet but iam goign to take a few extra days off and have a good break as at the moment ive not had a day off since august apart from my weekends, i was going to be goign away these next 2 weekends but looks like its gone pairshaped but hey oh ill probly book a long weekend off in november

theres been a bit of death lately in the celeberity world, the latest one being steven gately from boyzone, and again with the media frenezy theres has been a bit of rubbish reported about how he died all jumping the gun to the cause,

makes me laugh in a way as i never realy pay attention to the news papers thesedays i dont realy listen to the 24 hour news channles no more as they seem to get on my nervous as well, shame the gately chap died he never seemed to get bad press apart from once around the time he came out as being gay and what ever but he seemed happy enough i suppose

if i remember rightly he beat the press to pronoucing he was gay as i think the press was going to blast it all over the news as at the time the group he was in were quite big and if the press beat him to it think the coverage could of been much worse, i quite admired him to be honest how he went about coming out to the world he was gay as it must of been a big thing to 1 keep quiet then 2 have to tell the world your gay as he was a celeberity

think the last time i brought a newspaper was about a year ago i do sometimes read the sun online i would never buy the paper and the paper i do like to read is the sunday post its a scottish paper it covers some of the national news but dose a lot of news which might not be normaly wrote if you know what i mean, also i like to read the metro we have someone at work who brings that in most morning and again that covers a lot of things around the contry and world and isnt obsessed with the celeberity world

last wednesday i went to work on the bus as i wanted to get some new books and sometime from wednesday evening thursday morning i found i lost my cashpoint card my university swipe card and my driving licence,

1st thing i did was phone the bus company up to see if anyone had handed my cards in but nothing had been found or handed in so next thing was i went to cancel my cash point card so if it was found it couldnt be used, then i realised my uni card was going to cost me 5 quid to replace and later found my driving licence was going to cost me 25 quid, i wasnt to inpressed to say the least but i thought ill wait a couple of days before replacing my other 2 cards

friday morning came and i rang the bus company up again to ask if my cards were handed in but nothing had so over the weekend i was goign to go through of getting my driving licence and uni card sorted, just as i was goign to do so i was putting some washing on and doing my coat and was emptying my pockets which i did check and i found something in the lining of my coat and guess what

i found my cards i was a bit dumbfound but pleased i found them, what happend was my lining in my coat pocket was ripped so i must of put my cards when i used my uni card in the ripped part of my coat lining they worked themselfs round to the other side of my coat iam now happy chappy again but feel a bit of a twit

as you can see from these pics from yesterdays cycle autum has begun its one of my fav times of year as it can be nice and sunny but not to hot tempture wise i was cycling towards gunthorpe i cycled through the countryside and took some nice pics some of the colours the woodland produces this time of year is amazing just wish it was like this most the year to be honest but kept light longer i had a good 10 mile cycle yesterday and felt quite good

what a lovely day it is and ive got the whole weekend off as well i was going to be a hermit this weekend and not go anywhere but ive decied to go out on me bike a bit later as its such a nice day, and take a few pics as its autum in england now and the trees and what ever are starting to change colour, so should be a few nice pics to be taken while iam out and about

been a busy week the students still amaze me in how thick they can be when it comes to using a bit of common sence, and how rude some of them can be, the other day i had a student come to me asking me where one of the buildings were i was willing to tell him but he wouldnt listen as he was panicy cos he was very late for a lesson i tryed to tell him but in the end i gave up and took him to the other end of the university and taught him a lesson of listening to other people trying to help you

and some of the students still make me laugh with the auto doors even tho we have now put signs up saying use the other door they still want to try and use the locked door also we have had to put signs up on the auto doors now saying caution these doors open slow at times as in the summer a member of staff wasnt watching what he was doing and walked smack bang in the door

he tryed to blame the door but of what i could see it was his own fault he wasnt paying attention and expected the door to be open just like that, sometimes they do open quickly but when people cant wait for the door to open and try and force them open the doors play up and open up slow for a while till the door resets itself, oh well it gives me a bit of entertainment in the week if we are quiet iam going to glue a pound coin on the floor and see how many people try and pick it up

hi everyone its been a while yet again where have i been you ask well for those of you that want to know ive not been bothered to be honest the last 3 months have been a bit of a waste to be honest, my motivation has been down and all its seemed like is work and bed and oh pub

the last few months my sleep pattern has been totaly bolloxed and ive seemed to havehad little time to myself, its like when its come to bed time ive suddenly become wide awake and not been able to sleep till 3 or 4 in the morning then when ive wanted to wake up at a normalish time at 8am ive just gone back to sleep till 11am then iam at work for 2pm so by time ive woken up proberly and had a bit of something to eat its time for work, and its been like this for the last 3 months or so,

but i think at long last ive kinda sorted my body clock out its just a case of catching up on some sleep and getting meself on some kind of routine, one thing ive been happy with is ive not realy put any weight back on even tho ive not been to the gym or antything for the same amount of time the only thing exercise wise ive done is cycling and thats what has kept me in some kind of shape,

oh and for 2 months i was in a relationship with a girl i met online but i broke it up pretty quickly when i realy got to know what she was like, so all in all the last few months have been quite eventfull in one way or other and i willl be back to visiting all my readers blogs in due time and regulary writing on my blog also iam going to be changing my blog a bit in how it looks with a help of a friend still keep the same blog address but it will just look a bit different

what a rubbish week its been weather wise ive needed to do stuff outside but every time ive gone and try to do a job its suddenly chucked it down, just hope the weekend is better might go for a day out somewhere it will either be dovedale or the coast as iam ready for a day away from nottingham,

think also what has made this week worse is its been so rubbish at work nothing what so ever to do its so quiet and with the atruim closing for 3 weeks it will be even worse as we have no conferences booked or anything , so think a pack of cards and a couple of good books will be needed for the next month

but last night i enjoyed a pint or 2 at me local and a kebab on the way home not been tothe pub for ages and the kebab was nice as well i chucked loads of cheese on it and chilli sauce a nice end to the evening i say

iam getting back into playing me x box a bit lately now ive completed gta 4 and now playing halo 3 and getting quite into it but think i need a rethink on this level iam stuck on but i suppose ill crack it also i treated myself to call of duty 4 modern warfare ive heard loads of good things about it so the next couple of weeks ill be blasting through that and be intresting to see the online gaming options are like, as iam hooked on playing online tiger woods golf online at the moment, iam not great but not totaly crap either think if it dose chuck it down ill be trying to get a bit better on golf

its a bad day for nottingham people for years we have enjoyed feednig the ducks and other bird life but now we cant and if we do and get caught we could face a fine of 75 quid, what a load of bollox your going to get a pretent copper fining a young kid feeding a duck????

the main reason for this is as the city has had a high increse in canadian geese even at the university where i work we had 40 of the buggers round yesterday and the geese have become so lazy they arnt feeding them selfs just waiting for some sucker to give them food yes they are nice to look at but they are bad birds when they get fisious so thats why we are being told we can not feed any bird life my thoughts why not just cull the geese and we can get on with feeding the duck which we always have done

hi yes its been a while but iam back blogging, the last couple of months have been here there and everywhere ive had the flu or a cold twice and time has just gone to so quick, my head has been all over the place and just not seem to have anytime to do anything or the energy to be honest

but i seem back to my old self again which is good i also have a new ladyfriend it will be a month we have properly been seeing each other on friday so all is good there been kinda strange having someone back in my life again after being single for so long but its nice ive kinda got a life again and we can do stuff which you may not do if you were single as the last few months its just been work pub and bed and think i was just in a rut and not in a good place but the last month its thing have been quite good

the garden is all sorted patio is layed wall built almost all the rubbish is gone just a couple more trips to the tip and job is done, the veg is growing well and eat some of it already the runner beans are so nice and took no effort to grow at all, got some beetroot as well had some of that on me ham cobs yesterday so nice and fresh, so iam going to get into it even more next year and see what else i can grow,

work is going okay been permament at the university for 4 months now and just got 2 months of my 6 months probahtion left then the job will be totaly safe, still get moments when i think some of the people who work here are out of this world with there simpleness but cant have everything easy or how we want all the time can we

in england it always make me laugh when we have a bit of snow it brings the country to a standstill but why, places like canada they have more snow than we could ever think about and they seem to plod along quite happy they go to work drive about even travel by train,

so why cant we do that, well cos our goverment is crap the high ways agencey has had loads of warnings about this so call snow and we have had plently of chance to perpair for this moent but like normal sod all has happened even the capitol of england has come to a stand still never seen that happen, i know on the way home this eve i couldnt drive over 10 mph as the roads were so bad and when i turned a corner i was fighting to keep controll of my car

well ive been making the most out of my day outs so far this year went to the hills last weekend and sunday i went to the coast went to skeggy had fish and chips as well, it was a bit windy infact it was a gale force but we enjoyed it they will not be any days out for a while as i know ive got a lot on the next few weekends so not get chance to do much at all will be all work and no play for a while now

john ross has only been back in the hot seat for ony l one week and he has made the news some one aint happy cos he made a joke about someones gran or something, my god i wish people would stop being so bluddy touchy in a bit no one is going to be able to say owt about anything or one wish people would chill out a bit and have a laugh might be a bit of a happyer world

cos at the moment its a bit bleak to say the least with the annoucement of another 5000 jobs goign down the pan, banks keep fucking up all the time and people stabbbing each other and even killing each other what a world hey, read that a bloke got killed just for a bottle of wine which only cost 4 quid what a waste of a life hey

then you got the silly sods of the football land offering silly money to a football player who on earth is worth 100 million quid, if i was offered 1000 quid a week to play footy i would be happy only need to play for 4 years and would be minted for life

yes the creator of the kebab sadly passed away at the weekend, and he was a turkish man mahmut ayglin, who lived in germany, he had a idea in march of 1971 when he used to work at a snack bar he served customers a dish that constisted of a mix or roasted lamb and spices traditionally eaten with rice and could be served differnetly ,

he thought how easier it would be if the customers could take there meal away with them so on 2nd march 1972 in his snack bar he became the 1st person to serve the meat in a pitta bread, and from there the name doner kebab it what it is today, he was such a culinary genius he even was credited with inviting the yoghurt sauce witch became the doners hallmark,

in the world there are many variations of the doner kebab some i like and some i dont like my lest favioute is when they give you a doner in a pitta bread i much more like my doner in a form of a nan bread, with doner meat lecuice cucumber with chilli sauce a few chips and plently of cheese all wraped up, not a better tasting sensation in the world i think

it seemed a long weekend this weekend, got loads done gave my bike a service as iam going to start to cycle to work again washed and polished my car and checked all the oil and break levels and all is in working order caught up on loads of telly and up to date with most the stuff i watch ive not been like this for ages, and went to a friends sat eve which consisted of a cheese and wine eve in front of the telly and watched those transporter films which were not bad

me and my friend both woke up sunday morning and went for a walk did around 10 miles went to baslow near chesterfield and couldnt of picked a nicer day i will put some pics up a bit later, couldnt believe how many other people were out and about the start of the walk was quite a bit of a hike up hill think it was about a mile up a quite a sharpe hill i was getting tired out halfway up and i thoght i was getting fitter then these moutain bikers wizzed passed us and me and my friend just looked at each other and laughed but we did the walk half way stoped for lunch which was a packup of roast beef and mustrard sandwiches and a hot flask of soup which was well needed by the time we was half way round the walk,

finsihed the walk and i ended up cooking her a nice sunday roast with home made yorkshire pudds and a home made apple and pear crumble with proper thick creamy custard, quite a nice end to a very good weekend,

ive been up and about this morning quite early for me 7am already been to the gym and had a swim and feel quite good, went out for a pint with my dad last night which i quite enjoyed but what makes me mad sometimes is that you get a group of people sitting at a table chatting away and they are sitting with there empty glasses not for just 10 mins but for a hour,

yes the pub was busy and hardly any where to sit and these 4 women were sitting at a table with no intention of buying no more beer so why not sod off home or something and let other people use the table and seats i dont know some people hey do make you think

ive been thinking its been thursday all week now it is thursday iam now thinking its wednesday whats all that about,

today while driving to work i noticed that a co fecking op shop is to close, iam well pleased about that, co op's are a waste of time staff are useless food is quite expesnive and only one person on the till when its busy as hell and lots of people on the tills when there are no one in,

i have heard there is goign to be a big asda being build in its place as there is a lot of land next to the co op and the co op is goign to to knocked down so alls good, now we need the rest of the co feckign op shops to close

well half way through the thrid week of the new year and how is everyone going and are we keeping to our resloutions we made at the start of the year, mine is going okay ive already lost the weight i put on over crimbo and settling into my newish diet and seems to be working okay its been a little hard at times i had a craving last ngiht for a kebab but after half anhour of my belly rumbling like mad i wasnt hungry or even wanted a kebab,

iam working hard at the gym getting back to my cardio fittness times on the tread mill the cross trainer and other machines to which they were in november so iam quite happy, ive not had a beer since sunday nite but goign to have a pint either this evening or tomorrow evening nothing mad as i dont realy want another hangover like i did monday,

i have also been given a calorie counting book it tells you quite a bit about how much junk is in some foods, i was suprised to see that a pint of beer is better than a mars bar and also a pint of beer is better thana bag of crisps, a even bigger shocker was how fatty a maccy d's meals are a quarter pounder with cheese medium fries and a medium milkshake is 1500 calories i dont realy go to maccy d's so iam not to bortherd but still a shocker to see how much junk some foods are,

other news the 1st day out of the new year is planned for this weekend most likely iam off to dovedale for a walk on the hills there will be plently of pics taken as well not been to dovedale for a while i used to go quite often one thing i do like going to dovedale is stepping over the stepping stones to cross the stream climb the hill and watch people cross the stepping stones and nearly falling in to the stream, either cos they cant walk across the stones properly or that they have a dog on a lead and the dog goes nuts try's to run off and drags the owner in the the stream, but hardly no one falls in tho times ive sat on top of the hill and watched hoped some silly sod would fall into the stream and no one has maybe this year i may get my wish

ive cut the amount of beer i drink over the last few weeks, i now enjoy to go out twice a week just for a couple of pints which mainly consists of 3 no more than 4 and iam quite happy and when i am not out at the pub i enjoy a vodka and tonic only the 1 and thats my drinking these days,

last night i went out for a couple of pints to my local i was ready for a pint as i had a busy weekend working with my dad, so i had 3 pints of mixed which i enjoyed very much then i went over to the lathian club they do a nice polish beer quite strong but it dont taste stron if you know what i mean i think i had 3 or those and 3 or maybe 4 double whiskeys, i was not out my head drunk but i felt i had a drink or 2, i got a kebab and thoguht that would do the trick with making me feel okay this morning,

woke up this morning and i felt rough as hell its now 3:40pm monday afternoon and i am just feeling back to normal, and probly be more like 6pm before iam fully back to my oldself i dont know if its old age or what but these days if i have a good drink the eve before iam wiped out the rest of the next day i enjoy getting drunk every so often but think iam just going to stick to my new drinking routine as i am so much happyer with that the daft thing was i was not that drunk as to make a total arse of my self i had a normal convo with various people which i still remember what we talked about even in the kebab shop i rememberd what i said to the chaps there, even had my kebab without getting it everywhere else apart from my mouth

i dont think ill ever totaly stop drinking as my drinking level is within the goverments recomended levels and they would call me a responible drinker lol, and i enjoy goign to the pub for a pint not only for a beer but to see my friends, like ive mentioned i think ill just stick to my new drinking routine and see what happens

ever since i was young ive liked music i like a lot of music but my favourite music is blues and rock, only realy got into rock and blues when i was about 15 and i think thats when i started to build a bit of a collection, i used to buy records and tapes even had evenings when me and a couple of mates used to copy each others tapes and records onto tape i used to like listening to records and tapes so much it took me ages to get onto cd's

in time i did as my old hi - fi chewed 1 to many of my tapes up and thgouht sod it iam going onto cd, i also brought a brand new hi fi back when i did i payed 600 quid for it top of the range thing it was ive still got it and still plays okay but i hardly use it, it is in fact boxed up in the loft at home

i did get into cd's in a big way i used to copy friends cd's and they used to copy mine and built up a bit of a collection, the time i spent copying friends cd's making the covers for the cd's and so on but that was part of the job, again as time went on i started to use my comptuter for my music collection, at 1st i downloaded music then burned it onto cd got a collection of around 600 cd's built up,

i started to run out of room for my cd collection as technoglogy got better and cheaper i started to think what i could do to inprove or change how i listen to my music,

i brought myself a external hard drive i copyed all my cd's onto the hard drive, then i brought a ipod a great thing to have, so with me having all my music collection at a touch of a button and in one location it was easy to just put songs on my ipod and use that, i even got a ipod docking station so i could plug it into the station and listen to music on the ipod in the house

now i finding i can still buy or download music as and wheni want to and not worry about running out of room, with itunes and media player it give you so much more options you can make play lists so you can have what ever songs you want and all sorts the best thing a hi fi could give you was a 3 or 6 draw cd changer which it a bit wanky by todays standards

ive even gone to the extent to having a ipod radio car player put in my car, i still can play a cd but with how i listen to music now i dont think ill use a cd much at all

i wonder what the next 10 years will bring with technology wise be intresting to see

weight

most of december i hardly went to the gym i was ill for 2 weeks then crimbo came and went so i didnt have much time or the motivation to go, and during december i was doing quite well with not putting any weight on, but new year week i did let myself go a little bit, i weighed myself monday at the gym and found i put on 3lbs,

not a great deal of weight but still more than i wanted its only thursday of week one of my training and ive lost 1.5lbs already, so iam quite happy with that and by sunday if iam lucky should of lost the last bit of weight so i should be back to where i started, but one thing ive noticed is how quickly you lose your fitness if you dont keep your training up, i did struggle to run 10 mins on monday daft how it sounds its goign to take a couple of weeks to get back my fitness to wherei was in november,

i have changed my diet again as i was eating better but not how i should, it is hard work being on this new diet but should work better in losing the weight quicker, if i had a job which i was more or less active all the time i would be quite happy on my last eating pattern but it was kind of working but not as in one good way i wasnt putting any weight on but at the same time i wasnt losing any as my job which ive got iam only realy active for 3 hours a day then the rest of the day its desk basied doing paper work,

last eve i could of realy liked a keabab my brain was crying out for one but 30 mins of fighting the craving it went away and i wasnt hungry or anything strange how the body and brain craves things you dont realy need to eat hey,

doctor who and sci - fi

with the news of the new doctor who being a unknown chap called mat smith ive never heard of him there are so many other good english actors who could of taken the role on and played it very well, i would of like to have seen peter davidson come back or another past doctor

it will be intresting to see how the new chap plays the doctor who role it took some getting used to chris eccleson but i did get to like him in the end but when david tennant took the role i took a liking to him right away ill not be one of the people to rubbish the new actor mat smith stright away like some will ill watch the 1st couple of episdoes of him as the new doctor and make my mind up then just hope he pulls the role off well as he as a big role to make good,

i have been a sci - fi fan for a long time ever since watching star trek the next generation when i was a kid or even a bit before then battlestar galatica iam a big fan of the 60's sci fi shows like planet of the giants or even the invaders,

i did enjoy the star wars films but think stat trek is even better in a lot of ways, i would love to travel to other worlds and meet strange people from other worlds but i very much doubt it will happen in my life time,

thats why i like the xfiles as it tells of story of aliens and so on and the goverments best efforts to hide the tryth ive restarted watching the series i used to watch the xfiles with a mate of mine every thursday on bbc2 and it was great i managed to watch it to series 3 then when series 4 came out the bbc kept switching it to differnet nights i missed a couple of episodes and i lost the story

i tryed to get back into the show but it was quite an involved story by series 3 and 4 you had to watch every single episode but with modern technology and dvd boxsets being much cheaper now iam buying the series and watching it once again and iam quite enjoying it but i forgot how old the series is, watching it now as a 32 yearold chap the 1st couple of series are quite dated in a way but the storylines ar still shit hot and scully is sexy as hell and iam going to enjoy revisiting the xfiles to say i was about 15 16 when i 1st started to get into the xfiles it is a long time,

one show iam also getting into big time is the new series of battlestat gallactica how cleaver that story line is iam not saying much asi dont want to ruin it for anyone who has not seen it but its good its kept me hooked its good how they have kind of tied the story line from the original battlestar to this new series then totaly change the story you will have to watch the series to know what i mean what they have done is mixed technologys so you have advanced machinery then when it comes to the guns they still like our guns using bullets rarther than lazers even on the ships they use the use rockets and bullets rather then lazers and it dose work very well

1st day back at work

my 1st day at work has been okay a bit boring to be honest, well with me working at a university we are not properly open yet the students dont come back till next week so come half 5 the campus is like a ghost town most the buildings are mainly empty and hardly no one about

i dont mind the odd quiet day but its been quiet for about a month now and iam getting a bit bored, i have had the odd busy day when its been so busy ive not had time for a number 2 but for the most its been very quiet, but iam pleased the crimbo decorations are all down and everything and no more crimbo lights to turn off in the eve or anything so all goods there happy for a bit of norm to be honest

well its 5 days into 2009 already and my 1st day back to work today in a way iam looking forward to going back been a long break watched a lot of telly over crimbo and caught up with programs ive recorded but not had time to watch but all caught up now well almost

its been a a good weekend of sport nottingham forest beat man city in the 3rd round of the fa cup on saturday forest needed that win as they are struggling in the bottom of table in the championship league, maybe with a new manager forest might finish somewhere okay in the table i think this season they could finish probly 14th or 13th as they have a heck of a lot of work to do but i doubt they will end back up in league 1 just have to see

ive started back at the gym after a desater month in december i was ill for 2 weeks then the busyness of crimbo ive not hardly managed to get in but ive been good with my eating and not gone over the top i have put a little bit of weight on but not to much to make me cry, iam trying not to have a takeaway for a whole month this month ive done it before and can do it again its like skytower giving up the beer in a way

i was a bit suprised when i found out who the new doctor was in doctor who he is someone called mat smith never seen him in anything before so i can not say what his acting is like but saying that i hadnt heard of david tennant but i liked him striaght away, the new doctor might be okay and might take on the role very well just have to watch the 1st couple of episodes and make my mind up, iam pleased a woman has not taken the role as somehow it wouldnt be quite right doctor who will always be played by a man and to say i heard whispers about catherine zeta jones might have got the role just made me feel sick i wouldnt of watched doctor who again is she ever got the role

iam already planning my 1st weekend away camping think it will be down the south of the contry somewhere as ive been upto the north quite a lot would like to see more of devon and sumerset this year iam going to have my 1st day out next weekend up in the derby dales just hope the weather is okay for days out this year end of march beginning of april sounds a good time as we did have a warmish march and april last year so role on bring on the holidays and days out

weight training and stuff

was reading over at d4d and alex was going on about weight and that got me thinking about my success in 2008 with my fitness and training its kind of gone okay but to be honest i could of done much more

i did lose nearly a stone and a half gotten my cycle fitness much better i can cycle to work much quicker than drive to work but to be honest ive been lazy, my problem has been continueation?? at times i was going to the gym regular as clock work 4 times a week then all of a sudden i did sod all not even any cycling i could of done it but just couldnt be bothered it wasnt the a week i didnt do any exercise it was a whole month and while i wasnt doing any exercise i was losing all the hard work i had put i the previous month and a half and was in a way going back to square 1

i did have a half marathon planned for september but with my not putting enough effort into my training i didnt do the marathon i felt a bit rubbish as i let a friend down as i was goign to run with her but i know this year i want to run at least 1 half marathon and get down to my ideal weight which is about 13 to 13 and a half stones iam 14 and three quarters at the moment, but iam happyish with what ive done in 2008 with my fitness

as i had quite a few health problems to deal with in 2008 which ive sorted out now i was eating rubbish and eating far to much, i was having breakfast witch could of been anything from a fry up to beans of toast or cornflakes, then dinner was a packed lunch which i had 2 or 3 cobs bag of crisps and cake then had a proper dinner at teatime and i always had supper and if i went out for a pint i could 9 times out of 10 came home with a takeaway, and i wasnt ina million years doing much to burn all that food off

but come last april i got my eating under control and for the last 4 months ive not put any weight on but to be honest ive not realy lost any either as like i say ive been a bit lazy with my training but this year ill see another big difference in my weight, iam kind of happy with what ive already lost and ive droped a trouser size my old shirts which i was going to give away now fit me again so ive gave my bigger shirts away and my bigger trousers

also this year iam thinking of doing a couple of cycling holidays and iam going to make more of a effort to use my bike as i know i can do it but its the keeping it up thats the thing

well thank fuck crimbo and 2008 is over and done with, what a very dullish year its had its up's but many downs and towards the end of 2008 it was just silly but iam looking forward to 2009

yes i went on holiday brought a new car lost a stone and a half in weight brought a new bike and been away a couple of times but sod all happend realy for 2008, social life was dire as hell hardly had any of my planned weekends away that was due to the fact i was either working 60-80 hours a week or when i wasnt the weather was bluddy crap

crimbo wasnt as good as i'd thought it would be hardly went out at all i stoped in crimbo eve 1st time in ages ive done that, well i wasnt going into town to packed pubs and waiting ages to get a pint also i was'nt goign to get ripped off by taxis either as they would of charged the earth for crimbo eve, also the local pubs its a ticket job so in a way your limited to one pub all eve which would get a bit boring, but new years eve i went to my local which i enjoyed but would of quite happy to have stopped in you may say you boring sod but it was just like another night realy with a couple of more people in the pub

next crimbo iam deffo going away for 2 weeks for crimbo and new year sod it all iam not botherd about all the fuss about crimbo dinner i would be quite happy for next crimbo day to be sitting on the beach in me shorts and a beer in one hand and a good book in the other hand looking at the sea and the girls

my thoughts and whatever for 2009??? well iam not sure yet iam taking week by week and see what happens i know one thing for sure crimbo day 2009 ill be on the beach somewhere nice and hot for sure

well i was going to post something earlyer but forgot what i was goign to write about, ah well now iam in the mood for writing ill just babble

crimbo what a load of old crap in a way, i was looking forward to some time off work and almost do sod all but its been a bit crap, the pubs have been totaly packed out ie crimbo eve and the inportant days over crimbo and new year so whats the piont of queing for ages for a pint in a packed pub???? being at home has been a bit of a pian me mum has been ill coughing her guts up and it getting on everyones nervous and causing arguments

telly has been crap once again its been freezing cold so next year iam thinking sod it iam saving up to go away next crimbo for 2 whole weeks going to get somewhere nice and warm all inclusive food all in drinks all in and it'll be happy days thing whats not helped this year is the cooker being fucked the oven keeps cutting out so thats caused arguments with the parents and sister if it was me on me own i probly would have spag bolw and garlic bread for crimbo dinner to be honest

and for new year iam going to be in chelmsford for about 3 days least ill have some peace and quiet from the madness might even have new years day at southend who knows but one thing i do know next crimbo will be a totaly different

i cant be arsed to go out to be honest i have been asked out by a couple of friends already but all i want to do if vegout in front of the telly, looks like the box will be quite good crimbo eve for a change got the royal family which i always liked and a couple of other things so will be worth stopping in for, i think going out is a bit of a pain, as if you want to go anywhere apart from your local pub you need a tazi and they'll be chargin a arm and a leg then a most pubs will be tickets only i just cant be arsed with it this year,

i might go out new years eve tho always have gone out new years eve but not sure where ill go as of yet, iam also getting over some bug ive picked up been off work most of this week been crap as hell and ive felt like ive slept for england but iam feeling a lot better now just got a bit of a cold to deal with now and thats about it,

stange realy i was not well this time last year and i worked through my illness and i think that made me worse as i didnt even have my crimbo dinner infact i didnt see much of crimbo day at all last year and as for last new years eve i jsut saw past midnight and i went back home to bed,

so i'd thought i would take a few days off sick and get over this bug ive caught and pleased i did now asi am much better thani was and ill enjoy crimbo much more this year, and acualy have a few beers and eat some food which i didnt do last year,

this year has kind of ended on a good note ill post more about this when i know for sure and wheni can, but yeh this year aint been to bad to say the least even tho ive not had many weekends away as i'd like to but theres always next year

what another cold morning but nice to see a bit of frost, my car at 10am is still all iced over but iam not worried as iam cycling to work today, how is everyones crimbo preparations going

me iam half sorted which is totaly unheard of with me, i normaly leave everything till the last minuet and rush round like a twat but this year iam on the ball as they say ive got most my cards written and even brought some presents ive not realy made any planns for while iam off the 12 days over crimbo as last year crimbo was a non event asi fell very ill

i was fighting a cold flu bug most of december one min i seemed okay then the next i felt crap but it finaly took hold the week i was to break up and i was ill, i didnt even go out crimbo eve i forced myself out new years eve but went home just after midningt, i even didnt have my crimbo dinner which i was well looking forward to,

but this year iam feeling okay i am puling all the tricks to hold the cold off quite strange realy as most people i know have had a cold or flu of some kind already and ive seemed to have kept clear from it all, don't know if its the new tablets iam taking to keep my nose clear if iam using my ashtma pumps properly but iam feeling quite fit

the only plans i have made so far is a trip down to chelmsford on the 27th 28th and the 29th december and as iam down that part of the contry i might pop and see manic street preacher, but iam keeping everything else open over crimbo as wheni do make planns they alll seem to go pairshaped

righty iam off to check me bike over and have a blast on condemned 2 and what a game very blood thursty and a good storyline i must say my xbox was a good buy as some of the gaming action ive had is great

well what a mad month november was seemed all work and no play till my holls to scarbrough last week, which i quite enjoyed, the hotel was okay food good and company maily okay, it only realy rained for half an hour tueday morning so was lucky with the weather, we did all the normal sightseeing went to york on the tuesday had a day round scarbrough wedsnesday then went to hearbeat village whitby and robin hoods bay then friday came back so all in all a good week,

i did have a bit of a drama wednesday morning i found that i lost my car key, had a bit of a panic but after going to the pubs i went to the tuesday evenig and giving my number to the staff of the pubs in the end i got a phone call wednesday afternoon from scarbrough weatherspoons pub saying they had found my key and i can come and get it anytime,

i very happy me went stright away and got it back i also payed for a couple of drinks for the 4 bar staff who was on as i did ring the aa breakdown service and the whole thing to get towed home and get new keys could of cost anything upto 200 quid, so i didnt mind paying a couple of quid for a few drinks to a very helpful staff at weatherspoons, infact the staff in the other pubs gave me a ring to ask if i found my car key which i thoguht was quite nice,

so all in all i had a very good week off and had a well needed rest has ive not had a whole week off since march which is quite a long time realy, ive had the odd long weekend here and there but thats it, i know next year will be better when it comes to time off from work,

anyway ive got 23 more days of work then 12 off and i know ill not be ill this time iam off from work over crimbo,

well what a busy start to the new student year, september seemd like only yesterday but its been 2months since the start of the year and wow how times wizzes past yeh, ive kept the cold bugs at bay and in two weeks time iam on me holls going to scarbrough with people i know from my local pub should be a good week as ive never been on a holiday with my local they have had a few trips but ive always timed being able to go just at the wrong time but this year ive managed to not have anyother holls planned near the pubs holls

iam on a kinda detox for 2 weeks as i know ill be putting some ale down me neck that week and eat a bit as well, as we'll be in good old yorkshire they should be some good real ale pubs aruond so yorkshire folk be ready for us lot as we'll drink yeh dry or at least have a good go at it anyway

what horrible weather we've been having again, the last 2 weekends ive not had chance to do much outdoor stuff at all and iam starting to get a bit pissed off with it all, i dont mind a bit of rain from time to time but its been constant i want to get me car ready for winter and finish a couple of little jobs on my car ive been putting off as well but all this rain you cant do sod all,

well at last we have a british sporting hero formular 1's lewis hamilton has won this years F1 crown and it was good to see the F1 champion ship so tight all year round we have had 4 title contenders this year it would of been good to either see felipe massa or robert kubica to have won

its is the 1st time in about 8 or 9 years that the champion ship has not been decied halfway through the season as for 7 years amlost michale shumacker decided the champion ship way before the end of the F1 season, next year will be even more intresting fernando alonso could be back on form as he has finished well in the second half of this yeas season and even finished 1st a couple of times

theres going to be quite a few changes to formular 1 next year the bbc is goign to be airing the show instead of itv when i found out itv had been showing formular 1 for 11 years i was quite suprised, plus there are going to be quite a few changes to the cars not got my head round yet what changes they are going to be making but next year's season is goign to be quite intresting i hope honda will be on form with jenson button they should be contending for podiums as they have now got ross braun on side i might even have a bet or 2

anyroad iam off to the horrible co-op as its the only thing near which resembles a shop
